well two weeks after my wisdom tooth surgery, i'm still in pain..so i call the oral surgeon for some more meds..we had a lovely argument..he wanted me to come in..i didn't want to..i said forget it, i'll just live with the pain as i have been..he said don't be ridiculous why do you not want to come in..i mentioned the waiting...the swollen face still..the fact i still couldn't get my jaw all the way open...well he tried everything to get me to come in, including coming in really early in the morning like seven..i said i'm not that vain..so i went in yesterday..well i took an exray..and discovered i lost one of my favorite dangly earrings...
..sat and waited..he came in..he said it sure is hard getting you to come in..he had the x ray..one of the risks of having the wisdom tooth cut out was leaving the back tooth root exposed after..he compared the x ray before surgery to the one after...and yessireee..there was a black shadow on the bottom of that tooth that hadn't been there while the wisdom tooth was present..so he suggested the following things...go to my regular dentist and discuss a root canal.. and if that doesn't work after six months...the tooth can come out..o lucky me.. i asked why did the tooth have to act up so damn soon after surgery? he didn't know..he does get a kick out of me..as i jumped up immediately from the chair to leave..so i get to go in monday to my regular dentist for another x ray...i'm not that swollen but there is a small knot where the wisdom tooth was..he said i healed very well there..and that my jaw bone is strong..which is a relief..as that was one fear for my age..the jaw breaking during healing..i'm still numb in small places due to the fact the nerve got a shock..but that should wear off in time..
i'm sick and tired of this..i can't eat without it hurting..grrr this has been going on since february..sighs..i don't mean to complain but damn there is nothing worse than mouth pain..oo if it weren't for bad luck i'd have no luck at all...
