The Pet Thread

The bills can get crazy. And for us people that's why I have health insurance...if something happens that you need to spend time in a hospital forget it. The bills are ridiculous without insurance.

I think with prices these days, health insurance for pets makes sense.
 
Maybe for the holidays we can get Kurch a pet.
 
That's the problem a lot of people I talk to said it doesn't really cover ordinary stuff much. So you pay for a long time and don't use it really till your dog eventually has a surgery. Not sure if you save that much by having it. Depends on the circumstances.

Sigh always a catch. No wonder insurance buildings always look so good.
 
Insurance in general is the biggest ripoff not just health all kinds lol. Warranties cover very little on cars, etc.

That is my impression also. I do have renters insurance but there is a large deductible insuring that claims are not likely.
 
I have known people who have a pet hamster. I just can't understand why anybody would want a rodent as a pet.
 
Lab mice are cute. Real mice not so much. Technically bunnies are in the rodent family but bunnies are cute as heck.

To me, no mice are cute.
But I will grant that bunnies are an exception to my "no rodents as pets" rule. :bunny:
 
I have a bunny in front of my home sometimes.
 
It is sad to note that any stray bunnies in my neighborhood would be eaten by a pack of rats. The city employees in charge of controlling the rat population say that they often travel in hunting packs of 20. 😱

Rats are always a problem. Why I let the neighbors cat stay here whenever she wants. She was a great little hunter. Can cost over a 1000 bucks if you call an exterminator.

That's a lot to pay. 😱
And the poison that they use can kill your pets and and make you sick, too.
