Terriers were once used to keep one's residence free of rats 🐀 by killing them and eating them.

Boston Terriers can be spunky...all 3 I've had were unique yet they all had a lot of personality and at times a little attitude but they are very smart (too smart sometimes) and extremely loyal and loving.
 
The smartest dog I ever knew was a poodle, a big standard poodle. She learned to open doors that were closed and latched but not locked.

She would stand up on her hind legs, turn the doorknob with her front paws, and lean into the door if it opened outward.
She could even open doors that opened inward by leaning back while gripping the doorknob with her front paws.

Fortunately no. Rollins did though lol. I have a towel in the car to make sure he stays on it and I wipe him off as soon as we're about to leave with it.
