One thing about this heat that is serious is people are stupid and leave their pets (and babies) in hot cars...way too hot to be locked in a car even with a/c running. So dangerous to do that.

Very true. Some people even leave their babies in cars during heat waves. Very dangerous.
 
Yes it is nuts...I saw a car can get to 150+ degrees easily in this weather.

Oh my yes. Enclosed space just bake. I have some sheds and I don't go inside them if it's even close to 90 degrees outside.
 
It's important to take care of your pets in extreme weather. This includes making sure they have extra water on hot days.

I bought a bottle he can drink from. You push the button and water comes out. For whatever reason he doesn't really drink a ton even if it's hot out.

As long as he always has water available to him, you don't need to worry about it.

I've known cats that seemed smarter than some of my students. 🐈
 
I never had a pet rock. They were very popular once, in the 1970's.
