The Pet Thread

Nothing we can do about it...although the Christmas lights in December help a bit.
 
I was once (1979) in northern Sweden in early July. the sun rose at 2am and set at 10pm. Only four hours of darkness. I felt sorry for them when the opposite season would come, meaning 20 hours of darkness and 4 hours of light. 😱

Yea 20 hrs of darkness is rough.
 
Maybe for the holidays Kurch will get a pet.
 
I think that's the best gift when someone opens a present on Christmas and it's a puppy.
 
My father once brought a puppy home. My mother made this statement to him:
"Either that puppy or me will be in this house when the sun sets. Not both of us."
I believe that she was not bluffing. So did my father, and he took the dog back to the pet store.

Yea my mom would have had a similsr reaction. Someone gave me an orchid plant once. Mom wasnt crazy about that either lol. Luckily she kept me. Lol.

I got lucky my parents liked dogs...but yeah if they don't like pets you probably can't have one as a kid for long.
 
There are some people who just don't like dogs at all. I never understood those people. 😕
