Yes, there are, and I don't understand them either.

Neither do I. I think some people are afraid of animals. My mom was. She had a neigjbor in New Jersey that had a pack of Doberman that were very vicious. Even the owner couldn't get near them. He would just toss steaks over to them and they would fight for the steaks. Scary stuff. I think bad experiences with animals might be one reason.

I understand that if it is specific. I hate raccoons and am a bit afraid raccoons because of a specific incident when I was almost attacked by two very nasty raccoons. 🦝 <== hate them

Racoons are nasty animals. I saw a video of one attacking a little girl. Her mom tried to save her. They both ended up in the hospital

I don't really have a problem with snakes. Tarantulas freak me out more lol.
