What a difference a World Series appearance makes!

For years, Royals fans have been begging David Glass to loosen the purse strings and spend some money. He always said that he prefers to have fans in the stands, but preferred to put the money in his pocket rather than into the team.

Now after the Royals got so close to winning the World Series, and James Shields bolted to the GIANTS of all teams, and Billy Butler moved to the A's, Glass is finally spending the money Royals fans have always hoped he'd spend. It's like he woke up and figured out that this is not just a business, it is a game and it is for the fans.

The Royals have signed a couple of free agents. Granted, we don't know if it will all pan out, but it made our stiff as a board owner loosen up a little and loosen up the purse strings. WHO KNEW!!

The odds of the Royals getting as far as they did last year in 2015 is slim. They should look back on 2014 as a success, considering 29 years of complete futility. They may have been 90 feet away from making Bumgarner break, but they went the distance. That series would have went either way.
