Yea indeed. One guy resorted to tying up his alien hand so it wouldn't try to kill him at night. Tying it up helped but it would still struggle to get free so the guy still did not sleep well.
I've got some bondage mitts that would work for that purpose. The alien hand would be locked in a leather mitten with no thumb (and no fingers).

Humid is ok as long as it's not toasty hot.

Yea. Once in summer it rained in the morning then the sun came out and it hit 110. Wow that was an awful day.

It never gets quite that bad here. The hottest day in the last 40 years was a bit lower, 104°F.
I been in 130 F heat that's when I worked closer to the dessert. That is brutal heat. The valley where I live the max is like 120 F
