The Strange Things Thread

134 might be a little hot for even Mils and I.

Yes, 134°F is too hot for me. 🥵

In Yakutsk, Siberia, it can get down to -80°F. 🥶

There was a show called Life Below Zero. Abput people living in super cold places. There temps were usually like minus 50 or so. Minus 80 is just scary cold. :scared:

If you define a city as an urban area with population at least 200,000, then Yakutsk is the coldest city on earth.
My question is: Why do over 200,000 people choose to live there?

Some people like the cold. Some people like the heat. I prefer mid 70s myself lol.

I don't like to call people strange because we're all strange in some way but people who root for bitter cold and heavy snow are strange to me.

Unless they are avid skiers or own a ski resort, I would call them mentally ill. :rowfull:

The people who live in way below zero places are unusual to me. It's a very hard life. I suppose the one good thing is there are no bugs lol.

Yeah! My new goal is to move south for 3 months per year someday. Not sure if it'll ever happen but one can hope!

Kurch you ever live in a cold climate during the winter?

Not really was always on the west coast . I did have to do some chemistry in a cold room but was never in there for very long. It was very cold though like minus 30 or 40 degrees.

I have a fascination with living in Florida. Some people hate it and others love it. I think you don't like it right Mils?
I liked visiting Vero Beach, Florida, very much. I was there for Spring Break to see Spring Training games once a year for twenty years.

Now I'm dreaming of it.
Sadly, their last year in Vero Beach was 2009. Then, spring training was moved to Glendale, Arizona. That was bad in three ways:
1. Less accessibility to players at the new site in Arizona.
2. Longer, more expensive plane flights to get there.
3. The hotels in Glendale cost three times as much as the hotels in Vero Beach.

It's strange how St. Patrick's Day is Mils birthday and also Rollins.
Happy Birthday Mils!
