Hi baby :redheart:~I not so good. A dear friend has been diagnosed with terminal bone cancer and I'm taking it kind of hard, it's why I haven't been on much lately. I like to deal with these things privately. :sadcry:

Hopefully, you are better than me~set a date yet for play with our friend? 😉

Thank you sweet NT! To make things worse, this is her second round (she beat breast cancer 3 years ago) and she's so upbeat and serene and like, "oh, well, death is part of life" about it, I'm crying hysterically, she's making jokes and comforting me! 😕

That's because she doesn't want you to feel bad for her, upset, and all that. She figures she beat it once, she can do it again. She doesn't want you to have pity for her, and that is her strength. Be strong for her, and that will carry her through. Besides, she is keeping it real, and that counts for a lot

Maybe a quick flick on the arches will cheer ya up <<<<---- 😛
 
Well, the sad truth is, this time she's done for and she knows it. No one I know beats bone cancer (you can remove a cancerous breast, but not the bones, see?)
She said to me, "Yanno what I hate most about it?" I'm like "Fucking everything?????" She laughs and says "Oh no. I can live with the constant exhaustion, nausea, puking 24/7 etc. What I REALLY hate is that winter's coming and I'm gonna be BALD again!" How amazing is this girl???
 
Your friend has a wonderful attitude. As hard as it will be, your support and contineed friendship will make this stage of her life so much better than it would be without you. Savor the time you will have with her and live with the fond memories and be inspired by her great spirit afterwards. Thank you for sharing with us...I'll be thinking of both of you.

It's my first experience where the friend didn't die in some two second tragedy and I'm really lost here. She's like, "look at 9/11, look at Katrina, look at the sunamis...do you realize how lucky I am? At least I know it's coming. those people had no chance to say good bye..." :ermm:

Well, there are times in life when you know your time is up, and you try to live the life before ya go. Everyone has that sixth sense. She is a brave soul, and treasure her. If she can look in the mirror and say she has lived a full life and lived it to the fullest, then her leaving won't be as hard. Stick with her, and draw her strength. You are a good friend for being with her thru good and bad, and that is a trait more of us should have

omg steph im so sorry hon. pm me anytime you need to talk. i've been there also. not only with friends but my dad as well. i took care of him his final days the best thing i ever did in my life. but i miss him so much and its been eight years. love ya hon and i'm here for you
