The Three Sentence Game

Today is Thursday.

It feels like Friday.

I have a 4-day weekend for one final summer break.
 
The Dodgers have today off, as do 13 other MLB teams.

It's typical of Mondays and Thursdays to have a light MLB schedule.

Most MLB series are Monday-to-Wednesday or Tuesday-to-Thursday or Friday-to-Sunday.
 
I'm very tired today

Tomorrow afternoon i have a podiatrist appointment

My new sneakers are comfortable
 
The Yankees beat bad teams.

They lose to good teams.

I'm not sure that says a lot for their post season future.
 
In the old days, that was the way the Yankees got into the World Series year after year.

With an 8-team league and no playoffs, they would go 20-2 or 21-1 against the Senators and against the Athletics, perennial losing teams back then.

Then they could go 11-11 against the Tigers and the Indians and still win the AL Pennant easily.
 
It's harder now because you have many levels of playoffs.

I think that's what makes the Jeter dynasty impressive.

They had to go through several rounds each year to win a championship.

I had a student then whose last name was Jeter.

She claimed to be a cousin of the Yankee shortstop.

But nobody believed her.

California is spread out and I can't drive.

Can't afford too many cabs

So if the weather is bad I usually don't eat well.
