I have Advent Children on my hd, and I have to say, it's actually pretty good. It has some damn good fight scenes, and the stories not too bad either. However, with that said, I do have a few gripes with it.

For one, practically the whole thing, as expected, kinda revolves around Cloud. The thing is that the other characters (with the exception of, of course, Tifa. And Vincent sorta) have very little to do with anything. And Cloud also seems to be the only one who can hold his own against the Silver-Haired Men, with the exception of Vincent.

And there's still plenty of plot holes left in it, which I can only assume will be filled in one of the 3 other FF7 comps. I can only hope that they don't annouce any more FF7 based games, I mean enough is enough already.

How bout Battlefield 2:Modern Combat? Any thoughts on that? It's very addicting.

There's also a Battlefield 2 for the 360, with real destruction like that of Black.

Looking forward to Tomb Raider Legends tomorrow. Just beat KH2 again. The extra ending has me definitely baffled. Really.... odd. Anybody else here beat it yet?

Lol that's the truth. Was hoping for a little bit more of Cid, funny as hell but what can you do. Have you checked out Last Order yet? An animated film about Zack Sephiroth and Cloud. I would post it here but it's kinda big, but you should check it out on youtube. It's pretty good.

Oh man, I would be in heaven playing a game with huge destructible environments like that since it's one of my favorite features in a game.

And I don't care what anyone says, Black rocked! The only real problem with it was that it was wayyyyy too short.

However, I'm just tired of Squenix milking FF7 so much. I mean yeah, it was a great game, but let it go already! So far there's Advent Children, Before Crisis, Crisis Core, Dirge of Cirberus (though that's the one I am most interested in, you know why 😉), and Last Order. And there may even be more on the way. I can only hope that it comes to an end soon so they can start focusing their attention on new projects (like a new Chrono game).

I know Before Crisis is coming over here. I'll check it out cause the Turks are bad ass, lol. DOC looks good, but :shrugs.: Wish they would drop it. They would be better of redoing FFVII with todays graphics and be done with it. Oh and for LO like I said just Youtube it, takes like ten minutes to load. Square Enix has a couple of little projects going on for this year. A new Dragon Warrior... er quest, whatever they call it now, lol. Valkery profile, and from the looks of it (Caution, possible spoilers for those who haven't beat KH2 yet) another Kingdom Hearts

Huh, I thought I had heard something about a new Chrono game, though I can't remember its name (or if it actually has a name yet). And yeah, the Turks are badass, though I'm not sure about the whole sell phone thing.

And I think DOC could be pretty good if done correctly, plus it's nice to see the spotlight taken of Cloud for once (and Vincent just plain rox, he's my favorite character in FF7, as you probably guessed).

And I've also heard of their other projects, though like you said, they're just little projects right now I think (a result of focussing on FF7 so much, I guess). And though I havn't played KH2 (I never even finished the first one), I had a good idea that there was gonna be a 3rd one based on what I've heard.

Well, I'd actually argue the point about not making any more FFVII games. The way I see it, Final Fantasy is a brand of video games, as much as Super Mario or Legend of Zelda. With that in mind, in sheer popularity, Final Fantasy VII has sort of risen up above the others to almost become its own thing, so at this point, not wanting to see any more FFVII games would almost be like not wanting to see any more Mario or Zelda games. Now, I know some of you might say that's alright, and you're definitely entitled to your opinion. Me, I'd say as long as the games are good and can further the overall series, then go for it!

Now I will say that, out of all the FF games, FF7 was probably the one most in need of a sequel, based on the ending and the many plot holes. But it seems that Squenix is spending too much time focusing on FF7, so much that everything else that they're working on may suffer for it. I would much rather see new FFs (and that new Chrono game) receive more attention.
And plus you can only milk a cow so much before it goes dry (just look at the megaman series). But as you said, it's all opinion, and as long as you respect mine, I'll return the favor and respect yours.

Lol it's actually coming out on PSP the Before Crisis. I dunno bout FFVII, to be honest VIII had to be my favorite. The battle system was good, and I could relate to the characters more. Seifer was the best xD but Square should just move on. I mean everybody was complaining about how Aeris died, but yet there she is popping up in everything FFVII now? Even if she is in a ghost form, she's still not dead. But :shrugs.: Who knows, prolly cause I didn't care for her. What kind of flower girl lives in the slums, honestly? I mean with the house her and her step-momish figure lived in, they should have been in Kalm or somethin but who knows, jus me ranting on that.

Yeah, VIII was alright, but the whole drawing thing kinda bothered me a bit, and the main villain was very unknown in many ways. My favorites would probably be (out of all the ones I've played, really gotta play IX) something like this:

FFVI>FFX=FFVII>FFVIII>FFIV>FFV

However, Chrono Trigger>all the above :happy:

And I liked Aeris 🙂, she was my favorite female character in VII. And, if I remember correctly, she was there because she was hiding from Shinra.

Haven't played it, though I do have Dark Cloud. Actually, I've never even finished it, just got way to repetitive for me. I'll probably finish it soon though.

Yeah, that's true. However, I think that any game, no matter how good, can be made better somehow. Apparently they (the makers) have been getting alot of feedback from forums and such. And they also plan on including many of the features that were cut from the first game (ex. the Icarus wings), as well as including more types of enemies/boss fights, which the first game really lacked.

sounds good, thank god god of war 2 is coming out for ps2, i don't think i can afford to shell out the cash for a ps3 when it comes out, and i certainly don't plan on buying a new HDTV just so it looks really nice. i'll stick to the pc for amazing graphics for the moment

Yup, and actually, David Jaffe (director of GoW, now creative director of the entire studio) said that they didn't want to release it on PS3 because it wouldn't be up to the level of gameplay, animation, and depth that they've established, and that they want to deliver it quicker and more completely to the PS2 consumer. Sounds pretty good to me :happy:.

The problem I had with Kingdom Hearts was that the battles got really repetitve, and it didn't help that I'd enter a room full of enemies, kill 'em all, leave, then come back and find it filled with 'em again.

I beat KH2 recently. Great though, the worlds were a tad short. I soooo got raped by Sephiroth...soon after the exchange of words, I was killed within two combos. How do you get the secret ending for KH2? through jimmny?

Well first off what mode did you put the game on? It can't be on beginner. From there you have to get the little golden mickey mouse heads on every world. Basically meaning characters, mini games, maps, treasures, etc.. From there, well you beat the game. It also requires you beat Sephy because that is considered one of the mini games. It only took me four tries. The Fenrir kicks ass though, very awesome keyblade.
