The Video Game Thread

Can anyone tell me about the Civilization series. I'm just wondering if it's anything like Age of Empires. Because I played the demo for Age of Empires III and that game is BAD ASS!!! It finally got up to a period of time I enjoy! I can't wait for the next one because it'll most likely cover the 20th century and I'm all about the first quarter of the 20th century!!
 
Civilization is a much more advanced game than Age of empires. When i play AOE i feel a mix of war craft and myth, and Civilization is a lot more like playing turn based, and the diplomacy features are beyond any other game
