No, I'm not into anything besides tickling, but think about how people's minds work here, as opposed to if you visited any other fetish forum. All of them are riddled with flames. Tickling is just...different. There's a great sense of community that cannot be explained in mere words (not completely, anyway).

A big part of the reason that sense of brotherhood can happen here is the peace enforced by the iron hand of my mods and I. That allows the people who are normaly shouted down, or are uncomfortable with posting where they know they will be attacked speak freely here. Then that feeling of community has a real chance to form. Take a look at AMT for what things are like without controls. Not much of a sense of brotherhood there.

I agree that this community is different - it is respectful and dignified and a proud ambassadar not only for ticklephilles but for web-based communites in general.
Yet, despite this, you still do not accept all areas of society - i say let the minors in and be damned with the laws - and if they get on our backs tell them to politely F*** O**, however, i cannot imagine that they would get on our backs!
OH AND ONE OTHER THING - I HAVE MADE SEVERAL ENQUIRIES INTO PURCHASING TICKLING VIDESO - YET HAVE HAD NO LUCK IN GETTING A RESPONSE - surely a video producer would help with this - i think that this forum should expeand and perhaps make money by acting as anoutlet to sell vidoes for the video producers.
I personally would rather buy from here than from any individual web site!

While T'Boy, you make a very valid point and a damn good arguement, Indluge me here and hear me out for I think I can speak for the TMF and all other sites alike.

Yes ineed people under the age of 18 should NOT be made to feel, shut out but UNFORTUNATLY the law is the law and to blow off that law will not make it go away. We were ALL in the same boat at one time. Well at least 90+% of us were since our LOVE of Tickling and or being tickled started at a very young even pre teen age.
Even without the internet and all the bad publicity it has taken due to internet stalkers turn rapists and murderers, all it takes is for ONE bad complaint or criminal charge that a "minor" was sexually assulted by an "adult" even though it was JUST TICKLING, the report will read the same and people will suffer get hurt arrested fined and away goes TMF and or the site involved in introducing the involved parties.
Besides, Tickling and or being tickled CAN and IS at least on some level to some, sexual in nature and or provokes a sexual response. NOT to everyone but still it is there for some.

It may not be the sole/soul (LOL) choice of TMF to barr those who are under 18 from the site, it is the LAW itself that barrs them. When it comes to the internet, we are dealing with multiple "FELONY" violations on a national level. Such is the USA.
Tickling by us may be viewed as harmless playful fun and may be viewed that way by 80% of society!
However 20% can make alot of noise and cause way too much chaos for the 80%.
IT just is NOT worth the trouble when we are trying to get tickling accepted as being un-perverted if nothing else.
Yes it is ONLY tickling! You know that, we know that but it only takes ONE to screw it up for everyone.
Why take that chance. It is NOTHING personal. It's business. It's the law. We don't have to agree with the law but unfortunatly we do have to abide by them. For now.
In addition, there are clubs out there designated for and run by teens!

A Fraternal Org./ Social Club and is in the process of being legally registered to which I own 100% of the rites name and all, members who are UNDER 18 will not be allowed to attend gatherings and or Club functions or be permitted to join any LODGE when opened.
I know of NO family oriented tickle clubs.
That is different topic altogher.

However, Yahoo groups and the Hyenas club IS an adult based site and Yahoo will block you if it is found you are under 18.
Among many things, the Hyenas Club is for people to talk discuss meet and tickle in a social and safe setting. Teens can meet with other teens.

Check out the sites I mentioned above or pass them along to those you know who are not yet 18.
The TMF and Hyenas will be here when you are there!

I agree wholeheartedly! I couldn't have said it better myself. My mother, for example, is very against chat rooms, and it doesn't help that Montel, Dateline, 20/20, and other shows are running pieces on the "dangers of the internet" When things like what you mentioned happened, things are blown up to look like everyone on the internet is bad. We know this is not true but convince everyone else? Good luck. 🙄

You as well as the others are right in saying that this is a "respectful and dignified" place. This is why we have policies in place so that our tickle haven does not get out of hand. Not everyone will agree with all of our policies, such as yourself, and this place may not be for everyone. The bottom line is that not everyone can be pleased simultaneously.

Fortunately, the majority of the members in this Forum are able to see the bigger picture and note that not allowing minors into the forum is the lesser of the two evils. One day you will be forced to make a judgement call such as this and then you will understand clearly what we have been saying all along.

Having said that, let's get this thread back on track.

What is going on here? Ticklerboy, can we drop this subject about minors once and for all? I'm not flaming here, brother, and I understand you're passionate about this issue but it's time to put this NONISSUE to rest. If you are really so committed to this, why don't you start your own website that either targets minors or simply includes them? What kind of fantasy world does one have to exist in that makes one think you can just say F*@!K off to the law, and do it politely no less?!!! Perhaps my last comment was too harsh....seriously, I mean no disrespect, but I've seen this issue drag on and on and it's really VERY clear why this forum is the way it is, it has NOTHING to do with accepting or not accepting different areas of society, it has EVERYTHING to do with protecting this forum from any unnecessary persecution and ultimately being SHUT DOWN. Myself, I care not one bit if someone under 18 is here or not...and I know if I was under 18 and this forum existed, I would feel very anxious to get in!! But this issue is about PROTECTING what we ALREADY have. Maybe you don't remember what it was like BEFORE this forum existed. Maybe you are just too young to realize how hyper sensitive this country (the USA) is about anything resembling "child pornography" (though we certainly have no problem objectifying minors in sexual ways on TV, and it's pretty clear that kids under 18 are, shall we say, emancipated sexually in a way previous generations were not...and more power to them!). Not that this is a pornographic site (though some stuff on this site IS directly sex-related, and I'm not saying a small percentage either), but having underage people mingling with people of all ages and backgrounds (and though the majority of people who contribute here are really cool and sensitive and AWARE people, I myself have come across some shady characters, even here at the TMF. Hell, how do you know I'M not shady?!!!lol!).
Ah, I've worn myself out! Ticklerboy, no hard feelings from me, you are articulate and cool and all of that, I just got sick of hearing about this over and over (and I've never once chimed in about it). Thank you for saving me 15 minutes of my life and not having to write up a response, to say what both of you have. Deeply appreciated.

Ticklerboy. As I said at length in response to another post by you a week back, the decision to ban minors was mine and mine alone. I take full credit. The choice began and ended with me.

But it happened due to a very real cause:

A user, for some reason, decided to make a big issue out of minors being here. In fact, it seems to be the only issue they want(ed) to discuss. Because of the posts of this one user, I received a literal TON of e-mail from other concerned users, who feared loosing the TMF. It caused me to do a lot of research on the topic, and I came to the conclusion that in order to protect the TMF (and myself, and the forums sponsors) I had to exclude minors. Period.

If this one individual had not made such an issue out of it, I might not have had to deal with this topic for months or even years. But they simply wouldn't let it lie. So my hand was forced and I delt with the issue. Amazing how much change one person can cause is it not? And they were not even trying to get minors excluded. Think what someone who WANTED to do that could cause.
