Just 3 days ago the Jehova Witnesses headquarters in Bulgaria was attacked by angry people and they beat the crap out of the Jehova dudes. It turns out they were trying to get small children in their church, threatening them with some religious bullshit, after which most children committed suicide. Awful story really, making children kill themselves...it turned out that adults have done that too, but to do something this bad to a kid, which is still pretty much not able to think reasonably and is defenceless...
I personally have had two encounters with people from sects, and it was kind of unpleasent. First, some dude was trying to make me and my mum eat some cookie, which he was going to give us for free. I don't remember what sect he was from, but we shouted at him and he went away. The other time was a couple of years ago, I was walking around the streets minding my own business, when all of a sudden some people came out of a house, looking hypnotized, talking about God and acting crazy as a whole. I remember they were dressed like idiots too. One of the women came to me and told me to go with them, to find the light or something. I told her no, of course, after which I ran like a madman, because I had heard before that different sects kidnap people and so on. And no matter how big I am, I wouldn't have been able to deal with all of them.
