Like I said, it may be or may not be. Just thought I would share.

damn, when is May 19th 2005 going to get here?!!!!!! i cant wait for Revenge of the Sith!!

I have seen all the star wars movies so far. i like episodes 1 and 2 better than the last 3 movies. i hope that episode 3 is going to be as good as people say it is. i am probably going to take my father in law to go see it. i do like the pic. i like the hole shadow effect.

This IS a real pic from the production of ROTS. I'm not sure if it's an official teaser poster, but it is from the film. This was on the Hyperspace members section of StarWars.com and Lucas said it was a desired reference to Vader walking through the blown-out door of the Tantive IV from the first film.

I remember seeing another one that had half of Hayden's face, and half of Vader's helmet dominating it. Under neath it said "Episode III - Rise of the Empire". I guess that ones was a faked one, because it shows Hayden's head from the second film with the Padawan hairdo.

The picture is 100% real. If you watch the Bonus Material in the DVD triology release you will see the practices of the Light Saber battle between Haden Christiansen (Anakin Skywalker/Darth Vader) and Ewan McGregor (Obi Wan Kenobi.) The scene you see is Anakin walking into the Corellan Cruiser that Princess Leia was being delivered in when attacked by an Imperial Star Destroyer the reflection is Darth Vader.

Expected events in the Star Wars III: Return of the Sith
1: Twins Birth (Luke Skywalker and Leia Organa Skywalker Solo)
2: Sadly Padme Amidala Death
3: Completion of Anakins Fall to the Dark Side
4: Destruction of the Jedis
5: Start building of the Death Star
6: Bespin/Cloud City
7: Milleium Falcon
8: Palptines Decent
9: Kyysakk (Wookie home World)
10: Another frozen World

Palpatine had better have that duel! I'll be royally pissed if Darth Sidious/Palpatine doesn't have a saber duel! I know I've said this before, but damn, it better happen!!! Its just as important for him to have the duel as it was for us to see Yoda have his, even more so, since Anakin isn't going to do this all by himself! The Sith Master has to strike in a physical sense as well, all the mind games and political maneuvering are over! We need to see the power of the Sith in action, and I'm not talking just Force Lightning! This is the last chance for us to be shown just what Palpatine was made of before he became a withered old man with a cane (albeit just as powerful in the Force)! 😡

regarding you saying:
Expected events in the Star Wars III: Return of the Sith
2: Sadly Padme Amidala Death

This can't happen in this movie as the supposed last shot of the film is Obi Wan delivering a baby luke to his Aunt and Uncle. So Liea would be the same age at the end of the movie too, a baby. Now In Return of the Jedi, when Luke asks Lieah if she remembers her mother, Leiah talks of her as she died when Liea as a kid as she says:

"I remember her always being sad...why do you ask?"

Well she wouldn't have been able to have that memory if she was still a baby. They filmed the last scene of Ep 3 when filming in the desert of Tunisa on the set that would become the farm that Luke grows up on. So this can't happen per the timeline already established in ROTJ.

Actually in all technical sence Leia says she was very young both Luke and Leia are about 20y/o in ANH making them 22-23y/o ESB and 25-27y/o in ROTJ Obi Wan took Luke away due to Palpatine knowing that any Skywalker would be extremely powerful in the Force Arts. Padme hides on Alderon with Bail Antillies to assist in Hiding Leia from Palptine. Luke would not remember his mother and Leia would have only some memories.

I get distracted by in between stuff

Right, but I do believe the scene that was shot involves Obi Wan giving Uncle Owen a baby luke that is wrapped up in blankets. So, by that reckoning, Liea, his twin, would be a baby too. And since this is the last shot of Episode 3, then Liea, as a new born baby, would not have any memories of her mother if Padme dies during the film. And she does say she has memories of her, so she has to be older 2 or 3. So I doubt we will see Padme dying in it. I know that Mace Windu dies in it, as well as the rest of the Jedi's except for Yoda and Obi Wan. They are called by that new darth who is a Jedi killer.

Not sure who's gonna kill who....BUT...

Lucas made an interesting reference in the "Return of the Jedi" commentary on the new DVD set...that Palpatine wanted Luke as a "new, younger" apprentice to replace Vader, so he was trying to have Luke kill Vader like (quote) "Anakin does in the upcoming film". This says to me that Anakin kills Dooku.

Something to look forward to.

Now, if we can just wait and see who's got the grapes to kill Mace. (My educated guess...new character General Grievous).

Yeah, I've heard that one too, and it makes sense. Out with the old, in with the new.

And who better to have the grapes to kill Windu than Sidious? It doesn't seem like anyone else would have the skills or be strong enough in the Force to do that. I simply don't think Anakin can do it. He lacks finesse and precise control, and from what we've seen he leaves himself open to attack. Who knows what kind of style Palpatine has. Probably more technical and refined no doubt like was mentioned in that Saber thread of yours a while back.

Scenes are ararely, if ever, filmed in the order that they appear in the final movie. There's nothing to be drawn from knowning that the scene to be physically filmed was on the Tatooine homestead set in Tunisia. In Rocky II the first scenes filmed were from the climactic rematch between Rocky Balboa and Apollo creed.

I think it's more than likely that Padme is going to die in this film, as I've heard the rumour from a number of sources (none of which are aconon admittedly). Lucas has already done a few teensy continuity errors, so Leia having a residual memory from when she was a baby wouldn't necessarily throw the entire series out of kilter.

That's something I've always assumed would happen, but never heard a conon or non-canon rumour about. It would certainly make sense, because there are some significant paralells between the trilogies so far: Anakin and Luke both losing a limb in the second film whilst losing a lightsabre battle, the first film being a good-guys sucess without a conclusion, the second one being the bad guys triumph and the good guys limp home injured, etc (to use Lucas's own words).

I just can't wait for May! I'm going to the cinema dressed as Darth Vader. I havn't found a wav. file of Vader reathing for my tape player yet, but I will! 😀

There is three years between the end of ANH and the start of ESB, and 12 months between the end of ESB and ROTJ (in the film world there is, obviously ROTJ was released three years later).

I think Luke and Leia were supposed to be 18 in ANH. Don't quote me on that though. The original ANH novel says that Luke is twice the age of a decade old moisture vaporator, so they may be 20. The novels aren't canon remember.

Theres a site i goto called theforce.net

they have what they call spoilers so be careful what you read if you dont want anything ruined.

I only read the spoilers on the trailer and the characters, so thankfully nothing was really spoiled for me. Taking a look at this General Grievious fellow, maybe he will take Windu out. It would be ironic if it was a robot/android or what have you to do it.

as for who kills Dooku, it will be Anakin. Dooku will realize that his master Palpatine betrayed him and he will realize the error of his ways when he turned to the Darkside.

as for Windu's death, it will be either Anakin (because he's not a Padawan anymore, he's filled with rage and he is big bad Vader now) or my surprise pick, a young Boba Fett. remember, Windu did kill his father Jango.....

damn i cant wait for May 2005.

I think it would be a severe disservice to Mace Windu's character to have him killed by Fett. Boba at this stage is only about 12 or 13 years old after all. I know he's a bounty-huntin' bad-ass, but isn't going just a bit too far?

That makes sense. Especially if you think about Dooku's confession to Obi-Wan in the prison cell scene in AOTC about Sidious running the senate. I think maybe Dooku was being sincere, telling the truth, and was looking for a way out possibly. Maybe he really did mean "together we will destroy the Sith!"

Afterall, I'm sure he's strong in the Force for his age. Maybe he forsaw his own death or betrayal, the way Palpatine sensed his with Vader later on.

Jim, I understand that. Films are rarely shot "in sequence". I can recall of hearing of two films shot in sequence that I know of. I am sure there are more but I know of only two. Signs, even though a few scenes where shot out of sequence, most of it was shot in sequence. I can't remember the name of the other movie. But, when this particular shot was done Lucas himself had said, and it was reported in the media, that what he shot was the last scene for Ep. 3 during the Tunisia filming of Ep. 2. He did it as he didn't want to have to drag the crew back to Tunisia and build the whole set again for a few shots in that location when he already had the set built now. And since Ewan and the actors who play Uncle Owen and Aunt Beru was there along with a baby, well you get the idea what of what the scene is. The costumes are that Obi Wan wears is the same one that he is in in Ep 4. And it also follows in tune with the last scenes from all of the other movies that this would be it. Since Episode 4 deals with Luke as a teenager, this would be a shot of obi Wan giving luke to his Uncle and telling them to take care of him and he will be in the desert nearby as he is the "new hope". That he is the universe's last hope. Funny thing is, since Anakin was at the farm in Episode 2, wouldn't the worst place to hide Anakin's sone be at his setp brothers. Like Anakin (Darth) or Palpatine would never think to look there.

Something struck me watching Ep 4 last night that might be a Lucas boo boo

IN Episode 2 they find C-3po at the lars farm, so presumable Anakin's mom took him directly there when she married Lars. So C-3P0 has worked at that farm for a few years at the point of EP 2 and this is presumably his first job. Now, In Ep 4, when Uncle owen tells 3-PO "What I really need is a droid who understand the binary language of moisture vaperators" and 3-PO says "Sir my first job was programing (something) which is very similar to your evaperators in most respects." That doesn't jive since Anakin built 3-PO and he was in the service of Anakin's mom, then the Lars farm the whole time before Anakin showed up, so he would have worked on everything in that farm including the moisture vaporators. Also, Since he was there for a while, and Anakin shows up with R2 in Ep 2, why does Uncle Owen not remember these two robots. I mean that was a pretty memorable time. Your step brother's first visit. Your step mom being killed. Wouldn't Uncle Owen have said "Hey it's 3-PO." I mean 3-PO had to be on the farm a year or two as Anakin grows quite a bit between Ep 1 and 2. Also, how come both robots don't go "Hey. This is the farm where we first met". I think Lucas really screwed up having Anakin make 3-PO.
