I'm working a bit more with PS to fiddle with lines and levels and such for my drawn/shaded works and this one's an example of such. My normal shaded version (cleaned and very slightly tweaked) is on the left; the moreso tweaked version (line strength/levels) is on the right. Feel free to post which version you prefer in your comments, please.

Ok, here's yet another with semi-original ninja 'Tiana, with yet another set of edits to her outfit. And yes, as usual, it's got a perspective element, but not exactly the usual forced one.

Basically just Tiana at a bar somewhere about to sip a glass of beer as she sits there cross-legged. Of course, it looks like she's noticed the camera ('you'?) and she's paused a moment...possibly wondering where to shove the slasherang she's fiddling with her other hand...

Not the best of views for it, but her outfit changed a little yet again...and I kinda like the tense 'relax' factor this one has.

It's like a mini bat'leth, that slasherang. And the dragon circlet thing is kewl! I suspect she's going to lay some hurt on, given the angle we see her at. 😛 *Thumbs up*

A tease with an edged weapon... that's a recipe for missing fingers! A fine natural looking pose; your figure placement has come a mighty long way, Khali! And the intimidating way Tiana's burning a hole through the viewer; so much for "what'll you have, m'dear"! (interesting effect with the booze, incidentally... quite convincing! Liquid is always a tricky subject!) I favor the shaded version of the picture, even though the second is a touch cleaner; this scenario, with its suggestion of a hearthy companion-filled saloon, seems to call for a richer, textured approach.

Yes, once again I'm trailing the HDS, a developing trend... just my age showing (lord, it's hell to get old...) 😛

I really don't check the non-tickling artwork section often enough. I had almost missed out on this one!
I say, great work, Khali! I of course like the shaded one (though the line-drawing has a strenght of it's own). Does she really hates her feet to be stared at? that would be a pitty... 🙂

Thanks. ^^ Yeah, oddly...it's a pretty normal pose, but somewhat...lady-like? 😉

HDS:
Yeah, I think I might've drawn it with an extra blade or two that I normally don't. The circlet(s) have something to do with her original background. 🙂 As for the 'hurt', well...so far she's only paused in her drink, hopefully she won't have to use her blade there. ^^

Yes, I really like how the pose and figure came out here (although I'm a little iffy on her back-drinking arm being too thin, including the hand). Again, she's supposed to look intimidating, but also slightly in a 'hm...eh, who cares' state of relaxation. Assuming, that is, you only LOOK and don't TOUCH. 😉
***Oh, I meant in EACH image (shaded pair and linear pair) which of the versions in EACH do you guys prefer, btw? I plan on continuing to post both a shaded and a linear for drawn pics, just seeing if the 'tweaked' one is prefered (aka the right version of each image here).

Yeah, sadly most of my stuff posted in this section usually gets missed and/or ignored. 🙁 Thank you very much and I'm glad you liked. Nah, she doesn't hate having her feet stared at...why would she wear footwear like that if she did? 😉 Of course, it somewhat makes an easier 'interrogation point' if she's ever captured while ninjaing around...

Put me down for the ultra-tweaked version then (the right-hand image), in both cases. The extra effort cleans up some of the sketchiness and deepens the lines; anything that enhances the vividness of the illustration is a plus in my book!

I must agree with littlebighead, the contrast/brightness adjustment brings out the full potential of the drawings. They look so much stronger and clearer. 🙂
