It looked like they just discussed tickling as a fetish (and used fetish and kink interchangeably but by definition fetish is deriving sexual pleasure from it and kink doesn't necessarily have that component) and tictok BDSM community not fetlife or other more serious communities. One quote from someone yucking their yum (aka kink shaming) was "If you tickle me I'll punch you." One could easily replace tickle with any other kink that they're not into but violence shouldn't be the go to response. That's kind of shows you're asking a wannabe kink person about a kink they don't like. Their response should have been something like "You do you, not my thing and I don't want to be involved in it/don't want to receive it"

Still tickling is not very high on the popularity chart. There isn't really a popularity chart but on fetlife the most popular kink is spanking and bondage tied with around 2million people interested (dunno out of how many people) where as tickling has like 91,000 people with it on their profile. So like 10%?

I like what I like, and it's worked out well for me that tickling isn't "popular" amongst hardcore BDSM fans; that's made it a lot easier to connect with "vanilla with a swirl" types.

My only experience with BDSM was at Donatella Den. I did a couple of tickling sessions there this year, and while it was clear tickling wasn't exactly popular as it was hardly mentioned on any of the domme's profiles, I felt no kink shaming there from anyone I talked to about it. It looks like Legacy not only doesn't tickle kink shame, they seem to actually welcome it, which is why I'll be doing a session there next month!
