Ticklephile with phobia of feet.

Ahh so confused! I have a devastating foot phobia. Can't stand being around bare feet at all, it really freaks me out. Just bare feet, I'm fine with socks and stockings. I'm also afraid of other people seeing my bare feet.

This really complicates being a ticklephile, feet being one of the most ticklish spots, I have to be satisfied with anywhere else.

Does anyone else have a similar problem? Conflicting passions/fears?

Anyone have any ideas on curing my phobia? That don't involve me being confronted with bare feet or anything scary like that?

Swear to god, i'm EXACTLY the same. I don't like when people are near me with bare feet, and im really shy of people seeing my feet. And im completely ok with socked or shoed feet.

Yay, finally, I'm not alone. Do you know any reasons for it? Anything possible?

Maybe it's an attempt to hide the fact of our ticklephilia. People have a habit of tickling bare feet, and if it happens to us we might be given away... 😱

Or maybe we have weird childhood traumas. Aunts with bad feet when we could only crawl, or something worse. God knows, anything can start a phobia.

If you're really interested in changing this, behavior therapists have developed great systematic desensitization procedures for helping with phobias. Are you located in a big city? There are professional associations for behavior therapy that would help someone to find a person easily.

I've always had this weird thing not being able to look at the bare feet of people I was really not attracted to, and yet it's kind of sexy when someone I find attractive is barefoot. For me it was always that I associated bare feet with nudity, so naturally, the people I was okay with were people that I would be okay seeing nude.

That's interesting, though...I haven't heard of many people with a complete phobia of feet. It kind of sounds to me like it might be a shame thing, if you aren't the type to be open about your tickling fetish, or if maybe, like me, you associate with nudity. It's like a bunch of people walking around partially naked, and that freaks you out.

Then again, I may have no clue what I'm talking about.

The only thing I can really associate to my phobia is that my wrinkled, smelly, obese aunt always walked around without shoes on while I was little. It's a memory that has always haunted me. Otherwise I have no idea.

She doesn't live near us anymore, but everytime she comes to visit (oh no, that just reminded me, she visits around Christmas-time each year HELP ) I avoid her as much as possible. This is a really horrible thing to say, but I actually hate her.

I"m not scared of others with bare feet, I"ve seen it many times and I am fine. I do however seem to have a phobia of being bare feet myself. I also for some reason have a phobia of wearing singlets and stuff, my arms are never bare even though my armpits are most ticklish and I"m a lee!

Here are two things I can think of...
Tickle someones feet with their socks or stockings on, and then sneak a finger into thier socks to tickle the bare foot.

An for other seeing your barefeet...just be blindfolded and maybe that will reduce your phobia of having your barefeet looked at.

Well Amanda, i certainly understand your phobia as well as Katya's. I really hate guy's feet, i can't bear to look at them bare.

It's funny how straight girls can like other girls feet and maybe even playfully nibble at their toes but with guys it's waaaaaay different. I'm not saying all girls hate guys feet, but i know they would prefer their own kind before us males LOL!

Oh and btw, Amanda, you're a very beautiful girl (hotter than my ex) and you have no reason to be shy of your own feet as they are just as pretty as you honey!
