Here's a question that hasn't been asked in a while: has anyone noticed alcohol having an effect on the ticklishness of a person? I have a female friend (who was my girlfriend for a few years) who is not overly ticklish. She has pretty ticklish feet, but no other really bad spots. But if she has been drinking, she gets really ticklish all over. Anyone else experience this?

Makes sense - ticklishness is a natural state, lack of it is often largely due to self-conditioning over the years, and alcohol eliminates the inhibitions that make such self-control possible.

The one thing I can say about this is a friend of my wife's (whom I know is very ticklish) was at my house drinking with my wife and the two of them were a bit tipsy. Anyway, my wife says that when I drink I like to tickle women, and her friend yells out "tickle me!". She didn't really mean it, but I jumped at the opportunity and tickled her ribs and feet for about five minutes before my wife broke it up. I don't know if the alcohol made her more ticklish, but it certainly lowered her inhibitions. Definitely one of my favorite tickles too!

I don’t know if it makes me more ticklish… but it sure does make me less shy about mentioning it.

one time I was out clubbing with some friends, when this guy decided to try to pick me up. I was way past tipsy and feeling pretty bold. when he tried to pick me up I actually asked him, “I don’t know… are you ticklish?”. he said yes! but then drunken me said, “yeah… but would you let me tickle you?”. my friends dragged me out of the club after that. 🙄

I think a little bit may reduce the inhibitions of both the ler and lee. On the other hand I think more than a little bit probably dulls the senses and is a bad idea especially if bondage is involved.

Cute story ayla 😛

But mostly, I think eric is right. It can go too far and then no one has any fun. My understanding is it's the reason they usually don't have alcohol at play parties.

XOXO

I believe that alcohol will dull the senses so that would mean they will not be as ticklish. But as it has been mentioned already, it also dulls the inhibitions so they will be more playful and flirtier.

I'm going to agree with Joe on this one about drinking dulling both the senses and inhibitions. However, it really comes down to how much a person drinks. Frankly, i'd be worried about tickling somebody who has had a lot to drink, because there more apt to vomit, and in a particulerly bad case, could choke and die on it. Frankly, if your going to involve alcohal and tickling, never use restraints, never have prolonged tickling, and for the love of god, make sure you know how much the person has drank. enough drinks to make a person tipsy would probably be safe, but if there downright smashed, i'd be very careful, and probably wouldn't even attempt anything more then a several second tickle..

ok, speaking from personal experience, it makes me WAY less ticklish- im very ticklish as it is, but when ive had a little to drink, it all goes away. My boyfriend was actually rubbing my feet once, after i had been drinking, and started tickling them, just to get a reaction. Instead, i just looked at him after he stopped and was like "why did you stop, that felt good!" which, for me, is just unheard of, lol. So yeah, my vote, much LESS ticklish

ps- very cute story, ayla!

Personally, I think a drink or two makes me more ticklish. Not only does it lower inhibitions but it relaxes. However, I agree that more than one or two could be very dangerous. Also, you start getting in a state where you lose your ticklishness.

Ayla, if it had been me in the bar I would have definitely said yes 😉

thanks for the feedback. I actually thought she would be an odd case, and that it would probably make you LESS ticklish (the whole dulled senses thing everyone mentioned.)And Ayla, if it had been me, I definatley would have said "yes, if I can tickle back!" 😉

The one and only time I ever got to do a true tickling deal with my now ex wife was when we were both drunk one time. She wasnt ticklish at all normaly and not to mention..didnt support my fetish at allll (prob one of the small reasons were now divorced LOL). But anyhow, this one time I actualy got to tie her to the bed and I had a hey day on her feet using a feather and she went insaine!!!! I'll never forget it cause its the only time I ever ever got to do my tickle fetish with her and satisfy it 100%🙂

So yes, id say that booze can alter a non ticklish person.

I have only been to a couple of play parties, and both times, there was alcohol. You have to use common sense though. If you drink too much, then people may be uncomfortable with playing with you. A couple of drinks in enough to take the edge off but still be in control. With that thought in mind, I found my experience to be more enjoyable, both as a ler and as a lee

Never really noticed that with alcohol.I have noticed it sometimes being an effect of smoking weed however.

strider

your right about smoking weed and tickling
lots more ticklish

Weed! Yes!

I remember back in my Navy days, I was partying in a friend's trailer. He had some friends over, some women from one of the sub tenders in Norfolk, one of them I used to shoot pool with. She was probably one of the most butch butchies I ever met, she was more masculine than many of the boiler room guys on my ship. We smoked quite a few bongs that night, and things were kind of floating, and the girl (I doubt that she even thought of herself as such lol) had removed her boots. Well, somehow, she knew what was on my mind. She threatened to kill me if I so much as looked at her feet, but she was so high she couldn't move. I pinned her legs down, removed her socks, and tickled the Stove Top Stuffing out of her. I rarely have ever heard anyone laugh so hard, I don't even know how long I tickled her. When we were done, and started coming down, she tried to take the steel tip of her boot and smash me in the head with it, but we were laughing so hard that there were no power to the blows. Her name was Renee, she was a lot of fun. As I remember, though, she had a 'friend' on board her ship, and her friend was quite a prize. Anyone who so much looked at her, male or even female, incurred the threat of insane mayhem from Renee. Very possessive...

I miss Renee, she was fun, and very, very ticklish

I haven't smoked in a while, but, knowing what it does to me, I would probably have to agree with you.

A long time ago, after a night of drinking, I met a lady... my mind goes blank... we're laying naked on the floor the next morning. Thanks to the alcohol, I can't fill in that blank. I'm not a fan of inebriated anything.

hmmmm...interesting subject which I am sure is different for everybody. I am a drinker...beer only, but it's alcohol. Since I have worked in a bar for the most part of the last 20 years, alot of my tickling "moments" have come as a result of the spirits. As someone else has already stated, it reduce's the inhibitions of both the lee and the ler. As a ler, I have more confidence to approach someone about the subject, or playfully test the waters. For the lee's...well, let's say I have never been slapped or yelled at for it!!! It's a bar..people go there to drink and interact. But, I do believe there is a point to where someone can drink to much and negative results can come out of it. For the ler, they might not know when to stop or they might dig in to hard. For the lee, too much alcohol can effect the nervous system and cause them to be less responsive...numb if you will. Once again though, everyone is different.

I think I can safely say (but I am not 100% positive) that the reason alot of play parties don't allow alcohol is for the fear that some people will think they are "super tickler" and just ruin it for everyone and not knowing when to back off. I can agree with that under the circumstances of alot of people who don't really know each other getting together and wanting to create a safe environment, especially for those who are new to exploring our world.

As for weed (which I do not do)...I have noticed that others are very much ticklish when they are high. Why? I have no freaking idea.

peace out,
daddy

I agree wholeheartedly. In addition, if there is ever an occurance of going too far on somebody, it is my understanding that that person could be "blackballed" from future events. I am reletively new to the community, but that is what I understand based on conversations I had with other members.

AFA being stoned, I have never been tickled while under the influence but I can certainly imagine being more ticklish while high. The sensations are intensified greatly, including ticklishness.

In the years prior to modern medicine, doctors and dentist often used alcohol to desensitize their patients to pain before surgery. So it is only natural that too much alcohol will desensitize a person to tickling as well.

alcohol=less ticklish

I have found that while a drink or two lowers inhibitions (which isn't something I have a problem with anyhow) anymore than that and I am *considerably* less ticklish... in a big way.

So, I try not to mix the two... who here would ever want to be less ticklish?
