Howdy all! 😀

Any of you guys ever get a massive turn off when you see a tickling vid or story with a friend/family member's name in it? It happens to me all the time and it frigging sucks! The only time it works in my favour is when I'm attracted to the person who's name I have associated, which is about 1% of the time :punt: lol

Its such a downer when your watching an awesome clip or reading and awesome story then you hear/see that name and all you can think about is your best friend doing the tickling! Drives me up the wall, why do our brains work that way?

This has never happened to me. I have no clue what that would be like or how I would react. I am curious to know what others think!
 
Happens quite a bit, actually! :shock: Unless of course their name begins with "R" 😛 :jester: I kid, I kid! 😀

I have had a few instances where the name of someone in a clip and/or story was the name of a close family member and friend, and I have to admit that it is weird :S I don't like to think of those people in such contexts, but when it's there in your face it never fails to remind me, LOL! 😀

Just try to purge your mind, give them a pet name or something, lol 😛... if it's a good clip or story, it shouldn't ruin it for ya 😉
 
It only happens when the model has the same name as my mom. Any other name association and I'm fine. Unfortunately the models that do have my mom's name are always the hardcore videos and I keep seeing "*Insert name* cumming and licking" and...OH DEAR GOD MY BRAIN IT BURNS!!!!!

Your topic reminded me immediately of my parallel thoughts about stories (I don't think I've noticed the symptom while watching clips, possibly because so many models' screen names are so contrived-sounding).

I generally cast friends or classmates to whom I was attracted in the stories I was reading, and yes, it was sometimes momentarily halting when I found the name of a family member in them. I've already found that most names are peppered around, though, so it's easier to think around now.
 
I find it bugs me somewhat. It's the same as when you're about to score with the hottest there is and she has the name of a family member. Doh!
 
Yeah, it's happened to me too and I have to "pass" on those clips lol. I just can't do it! So you're not alone darlin :twohugs:

I actually experienced it with one of your stories, babe. LOL You had a character named "Samantha". I know a couple of Samantha's and they are both bitches. So I had to replace the name mentally.:lalala:

Well in that case I take it back. I've experienced it. I've had two characters in two different stories I've had to rename because of what the OP brought up. One was called Crystal, the other one was called Joana. Both don't fit the description of you and I had other people in mind but was scared of getting hit all the same. :bounce:

I don't think I've seen a story here with Joana in it, which is cool because the normal spelling of my name is Joanna, and the One N association would freak me out, since not many girls spell it like mine. LOL

I have one right now where she's called Joana, based on another Joana I know but I'll change it to Joannnnn1nna just to be safe. :ermm:
 
I find it a little weird when I'm reading a story with someone who has the same name as me.

That always weirds me out a little too... doesn't happen very often, thankfully, lol.
 
Dont think Ive come across this problem yet. Lucky for me I have a not to common name. And the ppl I know whos names would prolly have bothered me in that situation, dont have to common of names either.
 
Family members? No.... ew! Sexy hot guys who have tickled me or who I have fantasized about tickling me? Yes....

Quite a bit.

And my husband's name? Always. Because i just imagine that it is him. 🙂
 
This is why I always pick bizarre or unusual names for teh characters in my stories so that never happens.

Yeah it sucks. One time I was watching this clip, and I was really getting into it, but then they said the woman's name was beth (my mom's name) and I almost threw up after that part.
 
I don't think so? I don't like anyone where the ticklee is named "Your mom" however. Seems I only get those in the chatroom from unsolicited PCs.
 
lol Oh I hate that. In stories I have actually gone so far as to cut and paste the text into a Word doc, and literally replaced all the name references with another name. I would only do this for a story I really liked, if the name was of someone I really did NOT want to associate with tickling.

Videos...I have really been ruined for some I would have loved, because of names, or because of looks or laugh styles. I don't want to watch someone who looks like, or has a laugh that reminds me of my mother for instance. Not only does it ruin the moment at the time, but next time I hear my mother laugh I get creeped right out lol.
