I've noticed that if I get tickled regularly (like once a week), I tend to stay in a better mood and am able to handle stress better. :dogpile:

However, If I go a couple of weeks without tickling, I become cranky, and even when I feel like I'm in a relatively good mood, I'm hardly fit company for anyone to be around (if that makes sense!). :illogical 🙁 :cry1:

Then I get tickled, and it's sunshine and blue skies for another week. :smilestar :grouphug: :smilelove

MarcusB sez "dyed in the wool" lees have natural high for several days after a good tickling -- anyone else have eperience with or a comment on that? What about lers - do they get a lasting high? 😕

It's definitely strong medicine for the right patient. I think the 'being
tickled, massaged and sexed up' cocktail, makes some strong medicine!

I'll take a six pack! :xpulcy:

There has actully been research done on tickling as a means for treating depression and stress. I myself have used it for stress for years and have taught it to many of my friends to help them.

I personally find being tickled to be a wonderful stress remover. I think tickling others may have a little bit of the same effect.

Even as I write this I have a toothache; so ladies help me out here.

I have found it to be stress relieving as both lee and ler...
As the lee because I thrash around and relieve pent up energy and as BEING tickled is relatively new to me I love the sensations.

As the tickler, well since I was 3 I knew I loved to tickle and to get that reaction is such a high, the laugh, the squirming, the feeling of my fingers over flesh...
NEST is awesome(or any gathering) because you get to feel like everyone in the world is into tickling and you get to see, act and be around tickling...the problem is NEST Blues which occurs about 3-5 days later when you come down off the major high that a gathering can bring...

I volunteer to help you with this purely scientific experiment. I volunteer to come and tickle you once a week for a year and see if your mood improves. This will be purely in the name of science and I promise not to enjoy tickling such a pretty lady.( yeah they'll believe that :woot: )

I do light tickle sessions for my lady friends. By light, I mean gentle tickling. It is extremely relaxing for them and I believe endorphins are released, too. Endorphins are nature's anti-depressants and pain relievers. My lady friends sure seem a lot happier and relaxed after I'm finished with them.

"Endorphins"

(ndôr´fnz), neurotransmitters found in the brain that have pain-relieving properties similar to morphine. There are three major types of endorphins: beta endorpins, found primarily in the pituitary gland; and enkephalins and dynorphin, both distributed throughout the nervous system. Endorphins interact with opiate receptor neurons to reduce the intensity of pain: among individuals afflicted with chronic pain disorders, endorphins are often found in high numbers. Many painkilling drugs, such as morphine and codeine, act like endorphins and actually activate opiate receptors. Besides behaving as a pain regulator, endorphins are also thought to be connected to physiological processes including euphoric feelings, appetite modulation, and the release of sex hormones. Prolonged, continuous exercise contributes to an increased production and release of endorphins, resulting in a sense of euphoria that has been popularly labeled “runner’s high.”

I'm the same way, as a 'ler and as a 'lee. It has to do with the brain's chemicals and the surges in adrenaline and endorphins that tickling (which the body interprets biologically as an attack) produces. If you are in fight-or-flight mode, and you have an opiate-like susbstance flowing through your body, but there's no actual threat or bodily damage - so the opiate has nothing to "do" but stay in your system and give you a mild rexaled, euphroic sensation - yes, that can be very attractive.

Like Oddjob, I'm the same way as ler and lee. However, I've found the "lee high" is much stronger than the "ler high." Probably because of the intense nature of my fetish combined with the extreme sensitivity of my skin.

I think the lee high probably lasts longer but being a ler my self all I can really say is that tickling would definitely put me in a better mood for a while and is an excellent way of getting rid of stress 🙂 . In fact I think it should be introduced as a professional therapy. 😀

I'll take you up on that. If you can be in the general area of Austin, TX once a week, we can scientifically research this and make the world a better place in the process. 😛 Maybe the University of Texas would sponser such ground-breaking research into alleviating depression and pain. :smilestar This could be our contribution to society! :tickle:

Great guestion ticklechick. A lazy afternoon of playful tickling really charges my batteries for the week ahead. Looking foreward to it also supresses the stressors of the moment. Plus, being in the company of a like-minded person is great fun

I think I'll be able to relieve your stress this weekend, its just been a rough month for me, we'll get together if you want.

Hey, I graduated from the University of Texas, and they did not have majors like that when I was there!

Hiya :bunny:
Wow! Great question ticklechick!

I recall one situation not long ago where that is exactly what happened to me. So while i don't have the "repeatable" scientific evidence, I'm definitely all over the case-study stuff!😀

I'd had a really rough time of it and was feeling extremely annoyed about something. I can't even recall what it was. Anyway, this guy Alfred, some of you know who i mean, we'd been friend-dating for a while, we were at this restaurant during the summer -ie i was sporting some significantly bare tummy - a very deadly spot which Alfred decides to exploit. Yes indeed right there in public! (it's one of the reasons we're :ermm: not going out but that's a different story.)

So here's the thing, i'm already super ticklish to start with so keeping my cool would have been next to impossible but if he'd been merciful i might have been able to control myself to some squirming and giggling. But no, after bringing me to said squirmy giggles he whispers in my ear, "you know what's coming next?" even as he edges his fingers nearer the centre of the waistband on my shorts.

Before i can remember the restrained stares of our fellow customers, i shriek "NO!" thereby attracting EVERYONE'S attention just as he wriggles his middle finger into my ultimately deadly belly button! :yowzer::yowzer:

I'm sure you can imagine the totally embarrassing scene that followed. Gawd I couldn't leave the place fast enough.

But, and here's the even more embarrassing part, I felt better! Shrieking, squirming, laughing had actually relieved the dark mood i'd been under. And as if there could possibly be a 'worse-than' part after all that, Alfred knew it. Oooo I so wanted to strangle him! 😀:blaugh::veryhappy

I'm definitely convinced tickles work mood magic like nothing else. Best ad going for a drug-free world.🙂

Many blessings,
Chickles:redheart:

I'm a firm believer in this philosophy. However, I've been having trouble selling this philosophy...one day, I'm gonna succeed.

Hiya! :bunny:

Sounds great Knox! When you do succeed, we'll all be there with bare tummies and feet :tickle: to celebrate the moment.:blaugh:

Happy tickles

This has not been one of my better summers. A lot of problems financial and personal have kept me from enjoying myself. But things are beginning to take an upswing. I'm gettting myself tickled a soon as it's convenient. I think I could use it.

As a Ler, tickling is definitely theraputic. There's nothing like the charge I get out of tickling a ticklish lady, especially someone I never tickled before.

A family member (a sister of a brother-in-law, whose husband left her for another woman) was so depressed. I was helping her move some stuff out of her house (it was just me by the way.....???). When I tried to console her, she put her arms around me and said "Hold me." She wasn't crying but definitely sad. So I did but then said to her, "You need a good foot tickling." She knew nothing of my fetish or that a tickling fetish even existed. So without getting into detail, I gave her a great foot tickling and she felt a lot better afterwards.

Just doing my part for scientific research.

P.S. Nothing else happened. I always felt that she liked me, but I'm not that low-down that I would do anything she might regret later. Too bad. she was such a great tickle....... :illogical

Great thread...I have always said that there is no nights sleep like the nights sleep I get after being intensely tickled...it exhausts me like nothing else can (well , save for sex which I have not had in a bit now, lol)

The same goes for my mood when I am about to be or just have been tickled intensely...(I already have a bubbly, giggly personality...I laugh alot, to the point of my friends saying I should be lent to depressed people..lol.)

I agree that tickling is a wonderful aide to a healthy emotional well-being. Just think about it....a person into tickling is usually in a dynamic state of mind when in that state of mind...

I equate the impending tickle adrenaline rush as comparable to the state of arousal during the anticipation of a first kiss from someone...or a multiple kiss from "that" someone...

That said, I think it is safe to compare the post tickle experience as the most incredible orgasmic full body tremor and post "O" glow I can possess... 😉

Would be nice to try out - unfortunately that's not an option. I'm sure it would work, though.

I know I could definately use some tickle therapy about now...(nothing like living in a boring small, small town with no one but drunk losers on your street as neighbors. Ugh.)

Hmm, now that I think about it, there's been a ton of times in my life I coulda used it..
