Tickling as an Anti-Depressant?

Ticklemmmeeeeee said:
Great thread...I have always said that there is no nights sleep like the nights sleep I get after being intensely tickled...it exhausts me like nothing else can (well , save for sex which I have not had in a bit now, lol)

The same goes for my mood when I am about to be or just have been tickled intensely...(I already have a bubbly, giggly personality...I laugh alot, to the point of my friends saying I should be lent to depressed people..lol.)

I agree that tickling is a wonderful aide to a healthy emotional well-being. Just think about it....a person into tickling is usually in a dynamic state of mind when in that state of mind...

I equate the impending tickle adrenaline rush as comparable to the state of arousal during the anticipation of a first kiss from someone...or a multiple kiss from "that" someone...

That said, I think it is safe to compare the post tickle experience as the most incredible orgasmic full body tremor and post "O" glow I can possess... 😉

I totally agree, Meeeeee. And it sounds like we have similar personalities. I agree with the whole "dynamic state of mind" thing. Boy, it is so true. Yes, I get "naturally high" from tickling. There's nothing in the world like it. :feets:

I Tend to Agree with Tickling as an antidepressent

Having being diagnnosed a few years ago with clinical depressintg, I have to agree that since I've been brought myself into tht TMF, and have been experiencing tickling as a form as an antidepressent it does work, but I can only speech for myself, and it doesn't always work all the time. But it does help, but it is not a cure in it self. There are still other forrms of therapy and medications that go along with it, and of course there are alot of doctors that just don't believe that tickling in any more can help out in any way, but everyone has their own opinion I guess. And there are different types of derpression, I myself have chronic depression, and yes i have good days and bad days, and alot of the times the tickling does help. But I do believe that tickling has definitely positive side effects that counld generally help and just make people happy, at least for a while. I'm not saying that it's a cure, because it is not, but it can't hurt and it's sure a fun way to at last try to make some people feel better.

Thanks just my 2 cents.

Wow, I can't believe that I actually starting poosting. :wavingguy

Hiya Thattickles :bunny:

Welcome to the postings - though i bet i'm more than late with that
I'm glad that you have found tickling helpful for your condition, and that you are doing other things for yourself too. Depression really does take a multi-pronged approach. I know one of the people in our family struggles with it. I confess i've never had the nerve to ask him if he's tried tickle therapy though. But i'm very happy for all who have found some help with it.

Although i don't suffer from such a debilitating condition, i know it helps my moods. 😛

Many blessings,
Chickles:redheart:

It's definitely strong medicine for the right patient. I think the 'being
tickled, massaged and sexed up' cocktail, makes some strong medicine!

I'll take a six pack! :xpulcy:
I agree. It keeps a bounce in your step! :couch:

🙂

Tickling is an excellent prescription for stress. The more excitement, anticipation, and laughter the better the mood!!!

According to this article, there are honestly, truly people trying to become licensed ticklers to practice as therapists in this country & Canada.

Well, maybe it's well-written satire that us dumb folks can't see through - you be the judge. Then come tell ME.

Tickling as an anti-depresent, huh? Somehow I've never thought of that. Maybe I should give it a try sometime....if I can find anyone to tickle, that is 😛

I'm no sex therapist...(Go ahead and laugh Mike! I know you want to) But probably because of sexual tension tickling relieves that in a sense. And plus it's a work out. And everyone knows working out always gives you energy and makes you happy!

And just think about all that wasted money I have spent on meds. What a pity, when all I need is a tickle now and again. Hmmmm... I wonder if I could get my doc to write me a script for that.

If you can

I'll fill the scrip at a VERY reasonable price!
