TICKLING FOR CHARITY poll.

We are off to a good start....

... And I am glad to see the replies continuing to flood in.

I would like to remind everybody that the initial idea came from the "My favorite part about tickling a guy" thread and it was going to be a fund-raiser for the ladies to tickle the men. Being a very ticklish tickler myself, I would not object to it being open for tickling both ways but I would defer that decision to the rules committee and the ladies. I will not be the one to change the intent or the rules midstream.

At present time, we have:
18 Volunteer Ticklees
19 Volunteer Ticklers
3 Volunteers for the Rules Committee
2 Volunteers for the Regional Coordinators, and
2 volunteers for the Regional Welcomming Committees.

A special thank you to all of you who have posted in addition to voting as we have a better picture of where you are and what you are willing to do.

I would also like to thank those of you who have voted but not posted. It does show positive interest. It would be very helpful if everybody who votes also posts so we know which region they will be alighed with. This will also help us to know who is volunteering to serve on committees.

Keep spreading the word, friends. It is the only way to make this FUNd-raising event work!

Although I would have no objection to chances in this event, the initial idea came from a thread abuot tickling guys. Therefore, unless the rules committee decides to make it a "battle of the sexes" or make it possible for the guys to tickle the gals, this charity event would be the ladies chance to tickle the men.

I am not trying to discount your willingness to participate - Just trying to stay within the original context of the event.

Note to Italian_Touch: You are welcome. When I first posted the idea I was half-joking but seenig some of the replies to the idea, I decided that the only way to see if it would fly is to instigate a poll and see who really is interested.

The initial idea was that the Ticklee would choose a charity that they would like to contribute to.

We could also decide to build a TMF fund to help those in need like Mimi and Lazerus with their recent house fire.

I think input from the 'lees is necessary here as they are the ones being tickled for charity.

Let's keep spreading the word to see who else might be interested.

I honestly did think of Mimi and Lazarus when this thread started. I was only joking about the homeless dogs comment! Plus, I wanted to mess around with Steve a little as well.

Pick a charity and I'll see if I can tickle for dollars!😀

I'm glad things started moving. I tried unsuccessfully something like that posting a reminder in the "old" thread heading to a new post in the gathering session. It did not work out, so I am glad you have raised the attention of the community again and I'm willing to play my role 🙂

When/where will this take place?

It is still way too early to plan the dates and locations. This is just the preliminary stage to see if we have enough internation interesest to try to make a go of it. If we get enouth people from each region to have a regional competition, then we can have the RULES COMMITTEE work out the rules, put feelers out for which dates and locations will work best, and begin to put the plans into action.

All I can ask rightnow is that everybody who is interested keep putting out the word and invite pther members to sign up.

Just out of curiosity...

Just how many of the ticklees are going to be females(with half of them already being males).

Otherwise,I'm heavily looking forward to learning much more about thsi event(and where and when it'll be taking place,otherwise I would have already thrown my hat in the ring as either a ticklee,tickler,or both,but just got to know first about where,when,and how many females are going to be tickled,if possible[even though I know that it's originally was intended as a male ticklees-event,until a few ladies threw their hats in the ring as participating ticklees]).

.....You know....I probably WOULD do something like that, if at least some of the money would go to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, or whatever charity there is here for Cystic Fibrosis (you think after attending the walkathons, and having the disease myself, I'd know the name by now)....heck, I'd almost be willing to do it at one of the walkathons that are held around May . (And I know a person in New Orleans who helps set up the walkathons. )

And I know my Dr. at Tulane Medical Center would definately agree that I'm a good person to be a ticklee...for someone with CF, I have good lungs....and I'm really freakin ticklish .

Hmm....if the event was held in City Park, maybe..hey, the CF walkathons usually have great food. Might add some fun to the walkathon.
