So, I'm sure a lot of you have seen the video posted here from Costa Rica regarding prolonged tickling helping with weight loss. I would like to do an official experiment, and maybe if the results are positive, maybe I could get someone more official to do a deeper study. What I would need is some volenteers who can participate as a lee, doing it on their own time with their own ler, just reporting results to me. Gentleman lees, you are welcome to contact me if you want to do the experiment, but partly because this isn't super official, and I'm strictly /f, also because since results might vary, and men and women's bodies are very different, I'm only doing my "official" study with women. So any ladies that would like to particpate, PM me.

I can see how tickling, being a cardiovascular exercise, could help in losing weight. However, it's like any type of exercise and it will hit a plateau where it's effectiveness is nonexistent. I see the benefits of tickling on the body to better for the persons mental health as opposed to their physical one.

Its very good, but certainly cant be relied upon to do the job by itself, its better for toning really, for the four years I was in relationships and tickle tortured 3-4 times a week I had the tightest abs Ive ever had.

i reckon it would work pretty well

but how would improve someones mental health?

Laughing and the sensation of touch both have proven health benefits.

Laughing, as well as exercise as a whole, releases a chemical called an endorphin. Essentially it's a feel good chemical that basically makes a person feel happier, more energetic, and overall satisfied.

Someone TICKLE me please, preferably one with breasts and sans penis. P90X hurts too much and nowhere near as much fun as tickling.

BTW - I honestly believe this could work in some legitimate fashion. Muscle kinetics, bioimpedance, endorphin release, and other fancy words to make the grant application go through. Sure beats the hell out of anything I'm researching.

Forget my weight, I'd rather do it for the mental health benefits described above. 🙂

Hey everyone!

I thought I'd bump this thread.

I was talking with my girlfriend earlier today. We were recounting our wonderful weekend together & she talked about how profusely sweaty we got during one of our tickle fights.

She had just returned from the gym & we started talking about getting in shape.

Sooo, I asked her if she would wanna try out tickling & see if I can lose some weight. To make it more scientific *(as best as possible), I'm gonna keep up my normal routine.

But she's gonna tickle me for 20 minutes, 3 times a week, and see what happens...

I'll keep y'all posted. Wish me luck!

Actually, in a roundabout way, tickling helped me lose 16 pounds back in 1999, and my wife's sister lost 11. With my wife's complete knowledge, my sister-in-law and I made a weight loss bet to start Jan. 1 and end March 30. We debated for a week or so on what the loser would have to do, and for a couple of days the bet was that if she lost I got to tickle her feet for 30 minutes (she agreed.) But she couldn't come up with anything comparable for me, so we changed it to be that the loser had to come clean the winner's house wearing a bikini/bikini briefs. She lost, and she came and cleaned the upstairs of our house wearing short denim shorts and an orange bikini top. Knowing it's what I really wanted, she did it all barefoot, and my wife told me to go watch.

To the best of my knowledge, and anything fellow TMF posters have said in my past life here, it's bullshit. A joke at best. I used to use that line frequently to try to get some action with girls only to find I didn't get much action anyhow, and subsequently dropped it.

Wow that was nice!

If the lee is bound and struggles hard enough, then that is a form of isometric exercise. I don't think there will be much weight loss from it, though.

Well, by scientific, it's more of a single-arm case-control crossover study. I've been on a program for that last month or so & I lost about 10-lb. I was thinking, if I continue my exact same routine & just add a few tickling sessions a week, then see if I lose any extra weight.

In the end, it doesn't matter. My girlfriend loves tickling me (even more than I love being tickled). And I love how sweaty & winded & sore I am afterwards. All I was suggesting is to have her tickle me more regularly & step on a scale & see what happens...

For the record, I talked to her about it today... and she noted how sex gives us a helluva workout in & of itself... She's so smart.

Now you're just ****ing boasting.
