Similar to a lot of TMF members, I've spent pretty much my entire life looking for tickling everywhere I can find it. One of the things I've noticed is that when it comes to real-life tickling, i.e., not situations where people are being paid to tickle or be tickled, but mainstream clips and real-world experiences, women from Eastern Europe and Russia tend to engage in tickling quite often. On two separate occasions I've met ladies from this region who were recent immigrants, and both of them loved to tickle guys. I am wondering if this is just me inventing a trend where none truly exists, or if there's something about Eastern European/Russian culture that would make tickling more mainstream or more socially acceptable over there.

I'm originally from Ukraine and I can tell you that you probably just got lucky with the chicks. People are people, no matter where they're from. No single race, ethnicity or region is more kinky.... or anything... than the next.

I don't know, but they sure wear a lot of pantyhose over there, so that would make it even hotter!!

Maybe they're just more laid back culturally, who knows. But I don't know, the Czech Tickling sites sure have a LOT of hot models, and they've been going strong for years, so you may be right.

My EX GF originates from Russia, and she can't stand tickling lol so I'm with Leo on that note.

There is the Russian legend of the Rusalka, a kind of water nymph that seduces men and then either drowns them or tickles them to death. 😱

hello. i actually tickle a girl from tuapse. she´s a blond, green eyes, about 1,70m and beautiful feet.
i tickle her all over her body and feet. she always wear pantyhose. we dated for about a month then i had to leave.

I also heard that there was a Russian legend about women who will tickle men to death in the forest. Maybe it's another version of the same legend.

But this is the sort of thing I'm talking about. If the concept of tickling appears in the folklore of places like Russia, then maybe tickling is a more prevalent part of the culture over there. The fact that the tickling always seems to be f/m may explain the frustration of the male lers on this thread at finding willing Russian female lees.

No mates, you're making things up. As you know, I'm from Bulgaria, and there is no such tendency of women tickling men or whatever. As Leo said, people are people everywhere, it depends what kind of person you are, not where you come from 🙂

Not really. The legend of the Rusalka exists. I have added emphasis in boldface:

Origin

In most versions, the rusalka is an unquiet dead being, associated with the "unclean force". According to Zelenin, people who die violently and before their time, such as young women who commit suicide because they have been jilted by their lovers, or unmarried women who are pregnant, must live out their designated time on earth as a spirit.

The ghostly version is the soul of a young woman who had died in or near a river or a lake and came to haunt that waterway. This undead rusalka is not invariably malevolent, and will be allowed to die in peace if her death is avenged.

Rusalki can also come from unbaptized children, often those who were born out of wedlock and drowned by their mothers for that reason. Baby rusalki supposedly wander the forest begging to be baptised so that they can have peace. They are not necessarily innocent, however, and can attack a human foolish enough to approach them.
[edit] Description

While her primary dwelling place was the body of water in which she died, the rusalka could come out of the water at night, climb a tree, and sit there singing songs, sit on a dock and comb her hair, or join other rusalki in circle dances (Polish: korowody) in the field.
Rusalka by Ivan Bilibin, 1934

Though in some versions of the myth, the eyes shine like green fire, others describe them with extremely pale and translucent skin, and no visible pupils. Her hair is sometimes depicted as green or golden, and often perpetually wet. The Rusalka could not live long on dry land, but with her comb she was always safe, for it gave her the power to conjure water when she needed it. According to some legends, should the rusalka's hair dry out, she will die.

Rusalki like to have men and children join in their games. They can do so by enticing men with their singing and then drowning them, while the children were often lured with baskets of fruit. Men seduced by the rusalka could die in her arms, and in some versions hearing her laugh could also cause death. Alternatively, they would attract men, mainly bachelors, and tickle them to death.[1]

Specifics pertaining to rusalka differed within regions. Although in most tales they lived without men, in Ukraine they were often linked with water, while in Belarus they were linked with the forest and field. Where land was fertile, the maidens appeared naked and beautiful. In harsher areas of Great Russia, they appeared as "large breasted amazons" (Hubbs). And often, in the north, they were ugly and covered in hair.
[edit] Rusalka Week
Main article: Semik

The rusalki were believed to be at their most dangerous during the Rusalka Week (Rusal'naia) in early June. At this time, they were supposed to have left their watery depths in order to swing on branches of birch and willow trees by night. Swimming during this week was strictly forbidden, lest mermaids would drag a swimmer down to the river floor. A common feature of the celebration of Rusal'naia was the ritual banishing or burial of the rusalka at the end of the week, which remained as entertainment in Russia until the 1930s[2].

Max Vasmer notes that the very word rusalka originally referred to the dances of girls at Whitsuntide. The word is derived through Greek ῥουσάλια from "rosalia", the Latin term for Whitsuntide week (originally it meant "the festival of roses").

Yeah, I know about the legend, I meant that women from Eastern Europe don't tend to tickle or be tickled more than any other women from across the world 🙂 It depends on the person, not on his/her country of origin 🙂

We were just trying to discover whether tickling was somehow a greater part of the culture over there, which would lead to more people engaging in tickling.

For example, why do we eat peanut butter and jelly sandwiches? Because as kids, our mothers would send us to school with a PB&J sandwich in our lunchbox every day to avoid having to think of something more nutritious to feed us. PB&J is part of our culture in a way that it's not part of, say, Ethiopian culture.

So if tickling is a greater part of one particular culture, there's a good chance that tickling will occur more frequently among people who emanate from that culture. That's my problem with the "people are people" line. The very people who say that are products of their own culture and they don't even realize it. Culture shapes people.

Mate, I'm just sharing my experience, as I actually am from one of those countries. I wrote it two times, I'm writing it a third- it's not a greater part of the culture over there...sorry about that. Three times a charm... 😉

To reply to that threat. You're have luck. I know few nice girls (yes i must admit that in Eastern europe are many beautyful girls) and i.e. one of them doesn't ticklish and second one... well let's say that she almost kill me for what i done 😀. If we talk about rusalka i must say that this is part of culture for whole eastern europe (Russia, Poland, Czech and slovakia too i think).

I have been over there many times. What there is is a culture of women doing just about anything for money, which makes the tickling fetish seem more prevalent. Your bang for the buck is better too. They'll give you great value for your money!
