Some of these points have been kind of bugging me for a while, and after the whole survey fiasco, they should be considered. We here on the forum enjoy tickling, but that's OUR thing.

The rest of the world could care less, or thinks we're weird. That's life.

First off, when someone says they hate to be tickled, that means they HATE TO BE TICKLED. That's doesn't mean they really want it, or are secretly inviting you to sneak up to them, tie them down and tickle them senseless. Do it, and you'll be spending a few years behind bars.

When a girl takes her shoes off, it's because her shoes hurt, or she's more comfortable walking in bare or pantyhose feet, or just wants to take her shoes off. Most people here seem to think she's actually a tickle fetishist who is inviting them to come over and tickle her feet. The same thing goes for girls who wear sleevless shirts. She's not "asking to be tickled," she's hot! The temperature is 90 degrees, she doesn't want long sleeves! She's dangling those shoes because she's bored, she's not tempting you.

If a movie star is ticklish, who cares? That doesn't mean she wants to be tickled, or likes being tickled, she's just ticklish! No one here, or anywhere else in the outside world will be able to tickle her, she's surrounded by security guards. You won't get within 50 feet of her. Maybe they think if they ask the stars if they are ticklish, one will say "Why yes, I am! I LOVE to be tickled, and I want YOU to be the one to tickle me! Come over to my mansion when I'm done here, and your big, nerdy ass can tickle me all night!" If you believe that, well, don't know I have a few bridges and countries to sell you!

This whole survey thing was not serious, just kind of stupid. Again, was one of the girls going to say, "Yes I'm ticklish, please tickle me now!" No. Asking them if they are ticklish, who cares, all they will say is yes I am, or no I'm not. The yes's don't mean anything. Will primetime be thrown in jail with muderers and rapists? No, probably not. If the cops would have seen him, or anyone would have complained, he would have been thrown off campus. But where I live, there was a guy a while back who was going around in WalMart and other grocery stores harassing the girls about their feet, wanting to sniff their feet and tickle them, some crap like that, the usual shit these guys that do this thing do. Well, the guy did it at the same time there was a serial killer on the loose, AND he did it in an area with an average crime rate. He made the front page of all the local papers, and the police were saying he would get AT LEAST a year in jail! ...with the murderers and rapists and thugs... If he had done this in a place that wasn't in the Bible Belt, with no serial killer on the loose, with a high crime rate, he probably would have gotten away with a warning. He's probably still in jail.
So, please, primetime, you have to be careful out there. Maybe because I live where I live, where people are very closeminded and intolerant, I see things differently.

We here are obviously tolerant and open minded about tickling, because we are all enthusiasts. The rest of the world isn't, and doesn't want us to bother them.

This is the reason I love the whole idea of the videos and DVD's so much. There you have a win-win situation all around. The models will let themselves be tickled, voluntarily, AND they get paid a lot of money for a few hours of work, and the producers make a profit, and the customers get to see the beautiful girl get tickled for more than the 1 second jab.

So unless you have a willing tickle volunteer you are lucky enough to know, (and if you do, you are indeed a lucky man or woman!) stick to the videos.

actually, the survey wasnt a fiasco, my reporting here at the TICKLING media forum was a fiasco. again, i want to reiterate that i never really expected the women who answered the survey to tell me to please tickle them. i would have been more shocked than them if they told me that. i just wanted to see if i could actually get someone to answer if they are ticklish without it seeming "wierd". trust me, i went on that campus being discreet.

now for tickling realities, yes, women who remove their shoes are not begging to be tickled. we wish they were saying that, but they arent. women who like to expose their underarms arent begging to be tickled. we wish they were, but they are not. now is it 100% of the time? of course not, some women ARE wishing they were getting tickled. the problem is, unless they tell us, it's too hard to tell. when i did the survey, after they answered the questions, i didnt even bother to ask follow up questions. that way, they dont think anything else but i am someone taking a survey. if i had kept badgering them about tickling questions and badgering them about me tickling them, i can see the problem. that wasnt the case.

mabus, I agree with about 99% of what you said...

While many may fantasize or daydream about tickling strangers or celebrities, I sincerely hope everyone has the self-control and maturity to realize it's only fantasy. To approach a young woman you don't know in metro Atlanta and even ask her if she's ticklish would likely result in the police being called (or security).

Maybe this will make me unpopular here, but in all honesty....if I ever observed some guy tickling girls in a public setting (i.e. mall, a parking lot) and causing them apprehension...making them afraid or angry, I'd chase the guy off and/ or call the cops. I didn't really have a problem with primetime's survey because it was college aged girls (and it sounds as if he's also about that age).

When someone asks a lady about her ticklishness, a lot depends on who is asking, whom is being asked, and the LOCATION. A 19 year old guy asking an 18 year old girl on the beach at spring break if she's ticklish is far different than a 35 year old man harrassing 17 year old high school girls by asking if they are ticklish in the Kroger parking lot.

Similarly, a young guy asking a young woman in a bar if she's ticklish is much different than going door to door quizzing housewives and young mothers.

Saying that, Steph is a healthcare professional. I'm certain she'd react far differently to someone tickling her in private (or at a gathering) than if some stranger suddenly ran up and began tickling her in the hospital cafeteria or a patient's room. It would make her look unprofessional, and would probably frighten her...especially if it occurred without warning from someone she'd never seen (which is the normal reaction she should have).

I don't ever mind my girlfriend or sisters tickling me; but if someone I don't know began tickling me in the grocery store, or on my job it would upset me. If some strange woman comes up on my front porch or in the shopping mall and begins asking me all sorts of questions about my ticklishness, it would concern me (I'd think she was a nut).

Even if you are an avid tickler/ ticklee....there are probably settings and people you deem innapropriate for tickling (I seriously doubt many of us would react kindly to a stranger suddenly tickling us while we worshipped in church on Sunday morning). Virtually all of us would be terrified if a stranger (or group of strangers) abducted us; threw us in a van...bound & gagged us....for tickle torture or any other purpose.
Being tied up by the woman you love and trust is one thing....being bound by leering strangers you don't know or trust is far different.

The purpose of the survey was not to elicit a response of "Yes I'm ticklish, please tickle me now!" The survey did not impose a mentality of wanting to tickle someone just because they removed their shoes. Did you just make this whole hypothesis up from thin air?

Knowing how some men think...it was probably nothing you did Steph. They saw a beautiful young woman with a pretty smile...and my guess a wonderful giggle; and thought what I would have (except were more forward than I'd ever be). I also doubt they were only thinking about massage/ tickling.

I've worked in a hospital enviroment, as well as visiting far too often lately (btw - we lost uncle Larry last Monday evening from heart failure...why I didn't post for a couple days 🙁 Most ladies who work in a hospital are very friendly, and also very pretty. There's a silent alarm under the desk in the office I conduct interviews in but I didn't feel the need in this case. I think the guy was just lonely and clueless. And harmless. I think he could tell by my face I was a little freaked--I don't hide these things very well.

I know exactly what you mean about patients and how some misbehave...almost as if being sick gives them the right to behave innapropriately. I've been called to patient rooms after nurses were assaulted, pinched, kicked, slapped, groped, fondled, and yes...tickled. Nurses have told me horror stories about "dirty old men", some on the verge of dying...yet who still propositioned them...tried to "drag them into the hospital bed" 🙁

The lack of manners and respect some men have for ladies is appalling to me....

Of course on the flipside, I've also had a few patients file reports against their nurse for innapropriate conduct. It was usually something minor (one parent complained after a nurse hugged her son, who was dying from cancer....the parent was IMO waay overprotective); but I myself have witnessed a couple things by nurses that upset me. One was a home health nurse who seemed to delight in "tickle-torturing" my great aunt's feet while checking her for sensation. My great aunt and grandmother have both been diabetics for years, so I've seen enough foot exams to know the difference in checking sensation and tickling a ticklish old woman into hysterics just for kicks (IMO the HH nurse went way overboard...why I reported her and requested she never visit my aunt again).

Primetime, I don't won't to leave any negative impressions on you, because you're a good guy. And it wasn't just the survey. I think this is just "our" thing, and we are used to tickling. Others aren't, and because we live in a puritanical society, people aren't as tolerant as we'd like. I wish everyone could walk around with little stickers saying what their interest was, and that would make life a whole lot easier and more fun - you know right off who liked tickling, bondage, who was straight and who was gay. Let me put it another way, since I go to college. 90% of people on campus go to get their education, and that's it. That's why no one ever votes on the little student politicians. No one cares, they just want their education. If you add the sexual or fetish aspect to that, it's even more annoying. If someone was asking my opinions on bondage when I'm late for class, or stressed over tests, or bills, or life, I'd be pretty pissed. And I'm a member of this forum!

Or like when those little role playing guys and gals start telling me about some game they played. These are good people, don't get me wrong, I'm great friends with many of them. But they start on and on about some cyborg they killed, and the story goes on for half an hour because the game lasted 3 hours, and I'm thinking "I don't care! I don't play those games! It interests YOU, but not ME!"

Now, you know who you should survey? The models who do the tickling videos! I love videos, and the reason is, because it's a win-win situation all around. The models volunteer, they get paid hundreds of dollars for a few hours work, the fans are happy because we buy them, and the vendors make money.

But there are questions no one asks them. Why'd you do the video? How'd you discover RealTickling, or Magic Touch, or Francois? More importantly, why do some models come back? Do they like it, and are any of them ticklephiles? Are some models easier to work with than others? And the list goes on.

I also think tickling videos haven't even scratched the tip of the iceberg surface yet in terms of advancement. The companies were producing DVD's, now they're into online clips, which are lower quality than DVD's. That sucks!

How many positions have never been tried before? Girl in chair, feet on desk, etc.? How many scenarios and costumes and outfits haven't been depicted yet? Military uniforms, teachers, spies, cheerleaders, secretaries, etc. I love pantyhose tickling, but I haven't bought a video in a long time, almost a year, because they only release about 1 or 2 a year featuring pantyhose tickling! I feel sorry for those who like sock tickling!

Why don't they diversify? Why the drop in quality from DVD to online clips? Why not release videos more often?
