Ticklish in altered states of mind?

Are people more ticklish, less ticklish, or unaffected by altered states of mind? I'm talking about being stoned, or drunk, or maybe even tripping? I know you're certainly more prone to laughter, especially when tripping, but that doesn't necessarily mean you're more ticklish. Any input?

I find I am less ticklish when drunk. Never tried tickling stoned. I am most ticklish when I am wide awake, alert and sober. Also when I am in a good mood or horny!

Drunk I'm much much less ticklish - almost not at all. It's really rather sad. I was tickled once when I was stoned, and I was about 40 bajillion times more ticklish than normal.

Other than that, I'm more ticklish when I'm sleepy than when I'm wide awake.

as for the OP: I'm less likely to fight back while altered state, which apparently makes me "more" ticklish. Although, I think I'm just as ticklish sober, i just am not as quickly reflexed. 🙂

The times I've experimented with MDMA (ecstasy) ALL of my senses were heightened, especially touch. I did it in an ex boyfriends basement back when I was 17 and in high school & I would ask him to lightly tickle my back with light fingertips/nails whenever we would "trip out" together. Yep that's right we blasted techno and tickled each other but only gently. Good times! Something that usually wouldn't tickle so much drove me off the walls.

I'm definitely more ticklish when I've taken MDMA, but I've always been really nervous about having a tickling session while tied down (I know you didn't mention bondage in your post, but whatevs) seeing as it increases your heartrate massively. Also, I think the thought of me being tied down when I'm in that state, and not able to focus, would possible drive me insane (or more insane). 😀

while under the influence of weed or alcohol i find myself more ticklish and sensitive to the tickling. Weed makes me just laugh uncontrollabley and when im drunk its harder for me to fight against the tickling!

As long as I'm not too bladdered where I can't even stand up and feel sick when I'm laying down, then yep I am still ticklish, sometimes I think it makes me more giggly and more mouthy.

whoa I've never experienced those altered states of mind, I've actually had a personal ban on alchohol and stuff like that because I'm soooo scared of getting addicted. But hey, I got addicted to being tickled, which is a much healthier alternative. But I was on a medication for a while and I wasa mentally numb from that; I don't think i would have been very ticklish then.

According to Viper, the models that were willing to take in a lungful of altering smoke (the organic kind) were more sensitive to being tickled than when, well, not.

As for me, I only drink, and only occasionally (never really have gotten drunk though) and have never really noticed a difference. Viper keeps trying to get me stoned (he thinks it would be absolutely hilarious) but I don't go for it. Curious? Yeah, a little. I have "growing up" problems with it. Don't ask.

I get contact high anyway, so why do I even NEED the direct substance use?

I do agree with Jo in that I believe that those things would make someone less likely to fight back. sorta like if your really tired you might be less likely to fight it or it may tickle more. interesting thought really. hmm..
