As a long time lurker of this site but a long time tickler and NEST attendee, I was wondering if Ticklish Phoebe of LA has been invited to NEST?

Ok Not To ...

Knock Phoebe in any way shape or form. BUT can anyone tell me why someone who gets tickled, and tickles for a living would want to go to a gathering and do it for free? The lady is after all a professional. From my time in the NFL I can tell you Pro Athletes rarely play their sport when they're not getting paid to do so.
So why would Phoebe?

to meet possible new clientele? For the same reason lawyers do pro bono work, and athletes do charity events and visit hospitals? Visibility within the community....actually there's quite a few decent reasons. Q

Whether Phoebe and her friends would even care to be tickled at a gathering or not, I'd LOVE the opportunity just to sit and chat with these ladies about their experiences with-- professional and otherwise-- and their feelings about, tickling.

I'd be fascinated to hear their perspective on our favorite topic, particularly in a more casual, comfortable setting such as a gathering. I'm sure they'd feel it as refreshing too, to get to know this community beyond being mercilessly tickled under the pressure of a "ticking clock."

PHOEBE: We've recently tried to get things going down here in San Diego too. So if you're ever inclined to make a little longer "road trip" with your friends, we'd more than welcome you down here with open arms, I'm sure!

I'd attend a tickle gathering to meet, in person, some of the wonderful folks that I've met here on the TMF..

I don't think I'd be up for getting tickled at a gathering the main reason being noise. Those of you who know me know that I scream like crazy. I'm under the impression that most of these gatherings are held at hotels..

hotel room + loud screaming = not good.

However, it would be wonderful to talk to people in person.

I have never had that problem and I have been known to get pretty loud myself. At one gathering, I was heard across the street and NO ONE complained.

There has never been a noise problem at any gathering I have attended or have held whether at a hotel or in my or someones' home. I too get loud sometimes and others' do as well and there has been no complaints at all. Ergo, feel free to take part in the receiving and giving.

Yes, Phoebe, I can verify this first hand. Both TTD and his girlfriend Shygirl made lots of noise at the second Super Bowl Gathering in Albany. And nobody in the hotel complained. I am willing to bet that Shygirl could outlast you in a timed contest. She really had stamina.

Two of the 3 gals in the UK that I've met for play have been tickled in hotels and both were 'shriekers'. So long as you can get a place with thick walls............ 😉

I'm super loud. We frequent hotels quite often, and we haven't been put out yet. 🙂 Hope it never happens.

I think even if I did play for a living (which I would do if I happened to lose job A LOL), I would most definitely still go to gatherings. Nothing wrong with it.
