Damn Tito!... Tito had to win tonight to keep his job, and he was against a younger, stronger, faster opponent who is a better wrestler and a far better striker in Ryan Bader.

But Tito hit him with a hell of an uppercut, put him down and choked him out with a guillotine to keep from being fired. This was Tito's first win since 06...hats off to him

Yes, I would have lost money on that one. I wasn't giving tito a shot. And he did the grave digger LOL.

Well if worst came to worse he would have cheated like he did when he fought Rishad Evans... then again if I remember right he lost that fight anyway LOL.

Rashad not Rishad

he did... he hasn't won since 2006

but honestly i don't remember that fight at all, what did he do to "cheat"

He did not lose that fight, it was a draw. He was warned repeatedly but kept grabbing the fence(cage) and was deducted 1 point. It not for that he would have won the fight. Well maybe, because if it wasn't for grabbing the fence he would have been taken down more. But it was a draw.

Exactly, if he hadn't kept grabbing the cage he would have been dropped on his ass repeatedly and lost the fight. Then in the post match interview he tried to claim Evan's had some sort of grease or oil on him, and that's why he couldn't get a hold on him. Evan's replied by saying "If I had anything on me it would have been approved by the state fight commission." or something to that effect.

What it all comes down to is Shamrock was right, Tito Ortiz is a punk.

Ya, I have never been a fan of Ortiz. It was fun seeing Liddell woop his ass both times. And when Machida hit him with that knee to the liver, that was classic. Let's not forget Couture spanking his ass, literally.

Glad Tito finally got a win. It's been tough to be a fan of his with all the smack talk and no results.

Yeah, he hasn't won in while, but aside from Hammill he's fought nothing but top competition.

Tito is a douche, its sad that it took him this long to win a match. I hope he goes right back into a nice 5 year losing streak and then finally realizes he's nothing but a cock gobbling, pubic haired tooth flosser.

Wow, I don't want to see that fight. I wonder if anyone else does?

Not really.

I imagine that he'll get either Davis, Rashad, Shogun, Forrest, Cane, Rampage or Lil Nog next.

Of course, it all hinges on future results. Realistically, I think he'll end up matched up against one of these guys

I'd wager he gets the loser of the Evans/Davis match upcoming. Jones gets Rampage in November (I think), with the winner getting Evans if he beats Davis and Machida if he doesn't.

Also, not to get of topic, but Nick Diaz has officially vacated the StrikeForce welterweight belt for a fight against GSP this October. While this is probably the most marketable fight available for GSP at this point, I'm expecting it to be another one-sided, five-round slaughter in favour of the champ. Thoughts?

GSP will out strike him by far, and pick him apart with the jab. Then if he has finished him yet, he will throw him around in the championship rounds

I see it being a mirror of the GSP/Koscheck fight

I'd like to see Tito vs Phil Davis. He has already fought Rashad and Forrest. Lil Nog has a wrestling handicap and he doesn't deserve Rampage or Shogun.

I gotta go with Tito since I've been a fan of his for forever

Rashad hasn't fought in forever and all you hear him talk about is rampage and jones. Tito is coming off a career saving fight and his confidence is through the roof.

I just wonder if all the injury excuses were actually...true? He could be poised to make a run at the top.

pppffff...HAHAHA

Well... HAHAHA it looks like Tito is back to being the little bitch that he really is...yeah hes Evan's bitch...again...hahahaha I love it. All Tito is
capable of doing is running his mouth. What should his new nickname be...how about "The Hunting Beach Bitch" Pffff HAHAHA :rowfull:

Whilst I've never been a fan of Ortiz, I think the outcome of this match had more to do with how good Rashad has become. Tito didn't look particularly bad standing up, certainly no worse than in his fight with Bader, and in fairness he did take a battering on the ground before that knee put him away. His biggest problem was that he was out-wrestled by Rashad, and couldn't get back up once he was taken down, again speaking more of Evans' strength rather than Tito's weakness. That said, Tito himself admitted he was at his best during the fight, so I don't see him ever getting the belt back, the top contenders (bar Bader) are just too good.

he almost got Evans with that guillotine choke hold, but Evans luckily found a way to escape....Tito is not done...got a couple good fights left in him

I disagree. One win in the last six years and he's well past his physical prime. Tito won't be around the MMA game much longer; at least not in any position to make a run at the UFC belt.
