Tk Tetris (Game, */F, includes artwork from 15 different artists!)

Really glad I could be a part of this man...much appreciated. Can't say I've actually downloaded the game I'm sorry to say....truth be told I'm not a big fan of Tetris XD

You're welcome, Cheshire, I'm glad you did join in even though you don't like Tetris. Made a lot of people happy with it nevertheless, I'm sure!

Kudos,
Ilo.

Still struggling past level 4 or so... tetris *ain't* my fave game, or the game I am most proficient at, BUT I am quite glad I was part of it.

Watching my own pic on-screen, as part of a real game, made it feel - ok, now you'll be all laughing at me - professional and polished.

Thanks for asking me in, and thank you buddies for joining and making it possible too.

...

Now, what I'd love to see is a QIX-clone, with tk art - and maybe a few extra interactive features.

I'll admit the concept is not exactly novel: they did something like that for Amiga, with Centerfold Squares and "vanilla" naked ladies.

BUT... add an "fill the areas and undress the girl" feature here, and maybe an "activate the tickling tool" bonus there, and you'd have a wee little winner - which could lend itself well to an "explore and have fun" relaxed gameplay, as opposed to the "frantically try to beat this level" hectic setup typical with tetris-clones and "twitch" games in general.

...

For the sake of completeness:

Hey Kalamos, Thanks for your comment! If the original version gives you trouble you can always pick up the "EasyMode" version I released yesterday, should give you an easier time at least, although the artwork is prettier in the real version.

Not many of my games are 'twitch' so this one (Tetris) is a bit an exception so far.

Regarding Qix, thanks for the links, the name didn't ring a bell to me, although I have played something like that a long time ago I think. While the concept is cool, I'm not going to be programming for a little while (no time) and I'm not sure if I'd like to take up this challenge.

And admit to sucking at tetris...?

;)

No pressure.
I'm just mentioning a title that would mesh well with the whole "art in game" concept.

...

Stay sharp out there.

:)

This is totally awesome. We NEED more tech-minded people to devise tickling-based video games as we progress into the 21st century. That you have done this on your own time and offering it free speaks volumes to your commitment to the true community. TT is lucky to have you and extremely appreciative of your efforts.

I was honored to be a part of this, and also wish to personally thank each artist who took the time to create something special for this endeavor, again...with only appreciation as a reward. That's what art is about, folks. It is people like you guys and Ilohnoh that have honestly allowed me to rediscover the fun in the tickling community.

If you decide to do something like this again, you don't even have to ask, I'd love to be a part of it. :)

wow, always liked tetris but thats a great version of tetris, i'll like it even more playing this version
