What brought me out of TMF lurkedom, into the bright open space of this forum? I wanted to experience something I had only felt as an observer, sneaking in the shadows for years. I had been reading posts for so long, but never actually posting myself. I wanted to breathe air that spoke tickling and feel refreshed.
You come to a point where you know it is time, to write the word tickle and say what it means to you. For each individual opening that door is a different experience, a new story to tell. There comes a point where you want to tell your story and hear others tell of something that sounds very familiar, almost reminiscent of your past.
When I posted about our favorite word, tickle, the response was very nice. Others sharing the same experience, of going the dictionary and seeking out tickle in all it's many shapes and syllables. Seeking quotes and poems that speak of tickling in a beautiful and wonderfully expressive way. Reading the sentence over and over again to hear the word tickle in your mouth, buzzing in your cheeks making you giggle.
How long I will be here I don't know, but simply the act of taking that step to say tickle in a room where others feel a similar excitement about a silly little word, that evokes in each of us a different pleasure. For me it's laughter, pure and simple. The laughter that comes from deep within, exploding into the open air for all to hear and feeling free.
