What brought me out of TMF lurkedom, into the bright open space of this forum? I wanted to experience something I had only felt as an observer, sneaking in the shadows for years. I had been reading posts for so long, but never actually posting myself. I wanted to breathe air that spoke tickling and feel refreshed.

You come to a point where you know it is time, to write the word tickle and say what it means to you. For each individual opening that door is a different experience, a new story to tell. There comes a point where you want to tell your story and hear others tell of something that sounds very familiar, almost reminiscent of your past.

When I posted about our favorite word, tickle, the response was very nice. Others sharing the same experience, of going the dictionary and seeking out tickle in all it's many shapes and syllables. Seeking quotes and poems that speak of tickling in a beautiful and wonderfully expressive way. Reading the sentence over and over again to hear the word tickle in your mouth, buzzing in your cheeks making you giggle.

How long I will be here I don't know, but simply the act of taking that step to say tickle in a room where others feel a similar excitement about a silly little word, that evokes in each of us a different pleasure. For me it's laughter, pure and simple. The laughter that comes from deep within, exploding into the open air for all to hear and feeling free.

I'm so happy you've had such a positive experience so far cerebral. I wasn't a lurker for long. I had checked out the site under my ex bf's name for a few months and then in september of last year registered myself and sent the sweet steph a pm stating how much I loved her posts. We pm'ed back and forth for awhile and she told me that should introduce myself... she thought I'd have a good time here. She was MORE THAN RIGHT. My experience has been overwhelmingly positive. I've met better friends than I have ever hoped for.... I've had a ton of fun, traveled to new places... wow, the list just goes on and on. I know I am probably more outgoing than your average person but if someone even has a tenth of the fun that I do... your time here will be so worthwhile.

Hello cerebraltickles,

Welcome to the forum. Glad you delurked!

Dear CerebralTickles,

What a lovely name indeed! I, like Ticklkitten recommend that now that you're out...come to a gathering, mingle at a munch...meet like-minded people and don't just type the word tickle in proper company...say it.

You're going to feel really good about yourself!

Mistress Stephanie Locke

p.s. for me, the word wasn't "tickle" it was "Mistress". I found it at 9 years of age (decided to become one instantly) wrote it all over my 8th grade term paper on Anne Boleyn and finally became one just before my 20th birthday. Follow the words that call to you, oh cerebral one.

Personally, I belive lurking is a personal choice. Heck, I've been here for years and I have how many posts? Lurking is like a cleaner version of "I like to watch." This way, I get all the input and thoughts I want without winding up on those "who from the forum do you most want to tickle" lists. 😀 Those that know me know me from the chat room, though it does seem people are better known in the forums if they're active in them.

Lurkers, unite! (Just don't let anyone know you're there)

Ah hell...Lord knows I spent some time lurking around here too before taking the plunge and registering....don't know why, in a way....I've been quite forward about my interests with real people in the last 20 years (almost) once I knew I wasn't alone in this zest for tickling/being tickled/having a foot fetish....etc..etc... but then, I've lurked around in other messageboards I now take active part in that have nothing to do with what this forum offers....and I've met some great people for it....whether or not that'll happen with the members of THIS forum as well; who knows? I wouldn't rule it out!

There are some phenomenal people here....I've talked with a good number of them in the chats in recent weeks.....as long as the vibe is good and the people are genuine, you can truly enjoy yourself and the time you spend here (or any other messageboard/chatroom for that matter).

So....again...to the founders/moderators/members of this site....I say, BRAVO!!!! :cool2: :bowing: :bouncybou

Definitely NOT to lurk.

Lurk and you will be a nothing but looker.
Stay in the dark and you will be forever blind.

You made the right choice coming out into the open!

I’ve really enjoyed what you’ve brought to the forum. absolutely nothing wrong with a cool chick who thinks too much 😉

lurking is ok… I still do it every once in a while… but sometimes the very things that you feel like you need to say are exactly what someone else needed to hear (I sound like a fortune cookie lol).

glad you’re here. 🙂
