If you're looking for how to host a gathering when no home is available, I do suggest pooling up money amongst you and getting a suite at a local biz hotel. Doesn't have to be a FANCY hotel, just a good place for business folk to stay. Costs are usually reasonable when split up, and such events have worked well for many years out here.

I think demographics are still off for that. Our core group seems to be four heteroticklive gentlemen and me; there is no way in heck that I would so much as consider attending a play event as the only target^H^H^H^H^H^H^H female, so if gathering number one happened now, it would be four guys sitting around saying to themselves, "Dang. Now what?" "I dunno. Did you hear that Maggie the Monkey picked the Senators to win the Stanley Cup?"
