Nope C was the lie. My brother did go to Italy a few years back and I was supposed to go to him but my schedule didn't really allow it. Maybe some other time.

A.) I like pears more than apples.

B.) I like grapes more than plums.

C.) I like cantaloupe more than bananas.

B) and C) are both true. At the ages of 68 and 72 respectively, I did attend my 50th reunions.
