C) is true also, that is the zip code of the town in which I grew up in Bergen County, NJ.

A) was the lie, the Manhattan campus of Fordham University where I worked has zip code 10023, just one off from the lie.

A) One of my part time jobs in college was selling hot dogs during home football games.

B) One of my part time jobs in college was clearing tables, loading the dishwasher, running it, and putting the clean dishes away in a university dining facility.

C) One of my part time jobs in college was staffing the check-out desk at the library.

A) was true. I got to see the football games for free (not a big plus for me) and made about $20 per game for my share of the hot dogs sold. That was well above minimum wage in 1969.

C) was the lie. I never worked in the library.

A) I got a fellowship that funded my first three years of graduate school. It paid tuition and gave me a stipend of $300 per month.

B) I played poker in the student center and earned extra money all throughout graduate school.

C) For my fourth and last year of graduate school, I had a teaching assistantship that gave me tuition remission plus a stipend of $400 per month.

B) was indeed the lie. I played poker in the student center only my first year in graduate school and won consistently. But the next year they clamped down on illegal activity in the student center and there was no more poker (and no more pot, but I didn't care about that).

B) I got a bad cold attending the funeral of my great aunt in January 1993 when it was 15°F and windy.

C) I missed the funeral of one of my grandmothers in July 1984 because I was on vacation in Europe.
