Sorry, A) is true. I have been to Arizona twice, but only to Phoenix and Tucson, never to the Grand Canyon.

C) was the lie. I have only been to the Statue of Liberty once, many decades ago.

Yes, A) was the lie.
I was in Europe during the summer in which I was 20, but it was part of a program where I had a summer job there. I worked in the Auslandkorrespondenzabteilung (Foreign Correspondence Department) of a German bank. The object of the program was to become fluent in the language which you had studied for four semesters in college.
