Two Truths And A Lie

A) is true. A small fire in a dish that I was using for a chemistry experiment flamed up and scorched the basement ceiling. 🔥 I removed the dish from a table and very carefully put it on the floor, where it burned for a few minutes more.

B) was the lie. Since my older brother already had a telescope, I was never given one. I almost never used his.
 
New game:

A) I prefer veal chops to lamb chops.

B) I prefer a pastrami sandwich to a corned beef sandwich.

C) I prefer a ham and Swiss cheese sandwich to a liverwurst sandwich.

A) is true. I love veal chops (but I can't eat them when in the company of certain people).

C) was the lie. Liverwurst is bad for me, so I don't eat it very often, but I do love to eat it.
 
New game:

A) I don't like the DH rule in MLB.

B) I don't like the pitch clock in MLB.

C) I don't like the "ghost runner" rule for extra innings in MLB.

C) is true. I hate that rule because I have seen pitchers face only three batters, get all three of them out, and be the losing pitcher due to the ghost runner scoring. Any rule that allows somebody who pitches a perfect inning to become the losing pitcher is an abomination.
 
A) is true. I have disliked the DH rule since it was introduced in 1973 for the AL.

B) was the lie. The pitch clock has reduced the average time of a 9-inning game by about half an hour.
 
New game:

A) I have never played hockey in my life.

B) I have never played basketball in my life.

C) I have never played rugby in my life.
