I'm kind of confused.

See, I tried to change my sub name to-

"Your local forum *****"

But it censored forum? Out of the words in that phrase, I would think if ANYTHING were censored, it'd be *****. But I mean, come on. Forum? Anyone have a clue why a word as harmless as that would be censored?

My guess is that the words are taking up too much space. Even with the asterisks, the wording seems stretched. You might try altering it ("local forum ho", "local site *****", etc.) just as an experiment to see if space limitation is indeed causing the problem.

I'm baffled by this. I could only think of one possible explanation.
As far as I know TT has NO censoring function set up. Ive seen, at one point or another, every dirty word you could think of on here. I'm guessing that it won't let you put the word "forum" in your title to keep people from somehow making themselves look like staff. Try setting your title to "staff" or "moderator" and see if that is censored to. If it is, then I'm probably right. If not, then I'm clueless.

My guess is the same as Nessie's. I believe that certain words like "Administrator" and "vBulletin" are censored by default to prevent impersonation of forum or technical support staff.

Thanks guys. It was the impersonation thing too, after all. I tried "Admin" and it was also censored. Solved that. 🙂 I just had to get creative and use BBS instead of forum.
