RealPlayer is the free player that nobody can find.

If you go to the main page http://www.real.com/, the free links will be in the lower right area of the page.

Select the Free Player and inside that page the link to Real Player 8 Basic will be in the middle of the screen. That link points to http://scopes.real.com/real/player/player.html?src=010709realhome_1,010613rpchoice_h1&dc=718717716

What I dont understand is why do they want you to buy realplayer when they also let you download it free.

Pay?

The pay version of real player offers several more features, including the ability to produce clips if I'm not mistaken. The free one is good enough for most folks, but the pay version might be right for someone doing a bit of web development work.
