User ranks

since I recently joined this forum, I've noticed that each user has a specifice rank added to thier profile, such as "TMF Novice" and "2nd Level Red Feather".
I assume that this determined by the # of posts each user hs posted, but what exactly is the scale for each upgrade in rank?😕

As I understand it (and I'm sure that Myriads will correct me if necessary), the scale goes like this:

0 posts -- Registered User

50 posts -- Novice

150 posts -- Regular

300 posts -- Expert

600 posts -- Master

1000 posts -- 1st Level Red Feather

and then there are higher levels of Red Feather, as well as special designations, such as Tickling Publisher, or Tzar.

* Registered User (Minimum Posts: 1)
* TMF NOVICE (Minimum Posts: 50)
* TMF REGULAR (Minimum Posts: 150)
* TMF EXPERT (Minimum Posts: 300)
* TMF MASTER (Minimum Posts: 600)
* 1st Level Red Feather (Minimum Posts: 1000)
* 2nd Level Red Feather (Minimum Posts: 1250)
* 3rd Level Red Feather (Minimum Posts: 1500)
* 4th Level Red Feather (Minimum Posts: 1750)
* 1st Level Orange Feather (Minimum Posts: 2000)

And there are many more.... And as milagros317 said there are special ones also for Jeff who is a founder, me (TMF Tzar) who runs and directs the forum, and the moderators who help keep things under control.

Myr, you missed out TMF expert for 300! LOL Sorry.........

Anyway, to the point of my post. As the first feather colour was red and the second was orange, does this mean that they're progressing according to their frequency in the electromagnetic spectrum? This would make it Red, orange,yellow,green,blue..etc etc etc.

LOL, maybe that one could be a GOLD FEATHER!!!!!! When he's going through blue and green I bet Dave will compare it to his lightsabre colour. IF you reach 8000 then perhaps you should just be given a new pair of glasses and a free voucher for spinal surgery, needed from sitting at the damn PC for so long!😀

Linear Progressions

Hmm, the first few levels reflect a logarithmic nature, whereas the red feathers are a pure linear progression.

We're going to run out of colored feathers if we continue a straight linear formula.

Real danger of the polar ice caps melting as a result of all this.

Well, I was an Orange Feather for a few weeks before becoming Enmoderated.
