Oh the happy and divine pleasure that is Lord of the Rings: The Battle for Middle Earth!

Not only have I beaten the game on hard difficulty setting with both the good and evil armies, but tonight I joined the online community and wiped the floor with my first game. My Rohirrim battered the Morder smeggers.

If ya smeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeelelelelelelelaaaaaaaahhhhhhh!!!!!... what the horse-lords... are cookin'!!!

I've been playing games since I was about 5, when I got my NES. I have NES, SNES, Sega Genesis, Sega 32X, Sega Saturn, Sega Dreamcast, Game Gear, Game boy, Game Boy Color, Game Boy Advance, Game Boy SP, PSX, PS2, XBOX, Gamecube... can't think of anymore, might be all.

I mostly play RPGs, and have been into them ever since first playing Breath of Fire 2 for the SNES, which was the first RPG I played and actually enjoyed, getting me completely hooked on the genre. Before that, I was really into fighting and action games, but my interest in those has waned considerably.

I am not only into RPGs, there are some other games I like, such as Mario, Sonic and Resident Evil games, but for the most part I only look to RPGs/Action RPGs (which are actually my favorite type).

I am also into Massively Multiplayer Online RPGs that you play with other people on the computer. They're pretty fun, though starting to get a little boring as of late. But I am trying to keep drag out World of Warcraft as long as possible.

So yeah, I'm done now.

Well the first opponent must have been a particularly bad one is all I can say. Have now been completely and utterly fucking pasted eight times in a row. Bollocks to the online gaming.

I think Madden 06 is a great game, even better then last year. With the new QB precison passing, it makes it even better.

Sonic 2 I had a hard time playing without the cheat code for Golden Sonic (or Super Sonic).... I can never get past the boss fight in the second level (the Chemical Plant)..I almost always end up falling into the toxic water below, when sections of the ground aren't solid.

Actually, if you're playing as Sonic, there's a trick to that- just duck when Robotnik's about to dump the blue goo on your and it'll somehow miss.

Sonic 2 was for a while my all time favorite game. The Sonic Mega Collection is cool, but since I 1) Owned the 4 main Genesis games and 2) They left out Sonic CD, it never interested me.

I'm an old Atari buff myself. My favorite game on that little gem was called "Keystone Kapers" I love this game so much! Also if anyone has ever owned a Turbo Graphix, I used to play a series called "Bonks Adventure" I love that little caveman...

i used to play bonks adventure nonstop, along with splatterhouse.

i am now deep into madden 06

waiting for the xbox 360 for fifa 06 and burnout revenge.

need soul caliber 3 and black for ps2

I used to spend mega hours playing video games, but once I got a computer, my interest in keeping up with the latest games wained. I had a slew of Sega Genesis games, and the last console I bought was a Sega Dreamcast. I only have 3 games for Dreamcast, including Crazy Taxi and Shadowman. The third is my favorite, Tomb Raider IV The Last Revelation. I still fire it up from time to time.

I also play the old Nintendo 8-bit games like Zelda, Blaster Master, and Super Mario Brothers on my PC with a free emulator I downloaded called Nester. I also play Sega Genesis games with another free emulator called Gens.

I have all the Tomb Raider games still and I still play them. They beat anything!

Discovered something new about Sonic 2 today: because of the new saving fature it's a smeg-load easier to get the Chaos Emeralds and today I managed to get all seven. Something I never managed on the old Mega Drive. Well it said "Sonic got all the Chaos Emeralds", then it switched to "Sonic can now become Super Sonic". I thought this was only a cheat feature you could enable in the sound test menu, but apparently it's part of the actual game. Get fifty rings, do a jump and hey-presto, super speed and invincibility, albeitit with a shitty yellow hair-dye. 😀

The only prob is, it makes it impossible to build up big ring totals because it drains them at the rate of one a second. 🙁 Still, should be piss-easy doing every zone now! I'll be through the rest of them in about an hour. (I managed to get all seven collected by the end of the first act of the Aquatic Ruin Zone.)

Oh yeah, it IS easy to get through each level with Super Sonic. And if you think the ring-drainging is bad, just wait till you get to the final fight, with NO rings for protection.

That's great about being able to save, now, though. It was pretty annoying playing some of the harder Genesis games, trying as hard as I could to get past a certain level...then once I'd get past it, it'd be time to go to sleep or do homework (I was only around 12 or 13 when I got the Genesis and Sonic 2)

Oh I've completed the game, just not with all seven Chaos Emeralds in the bank, which isn't full completion. I've beaten the Mecha-Sonic prototype (didn't the full version debut in Sonic CD?) and the giant Robotnik-Suit type thingy.

I don't remember all the levels of Sonic 2, but I do remember getting all the Chaos Emeralds and imagine my surprise when he suddenly turns yellow and starts flying across the screen.

I also liked the game Sonic & Knuckles. I never did get all the Chaos Emeralds in that game but I did enjoy the fact that you could stack Sonic 2 or Sonic 3 on top of it.

I found that it's utterly impossible to get all the Emeralds in Sonic 2 (to be specific, number six and seven) unless Tails is being manually controlled in the special zones, which means someone helping you out on a second controller, or a mind-boggling feat of ambidexterity! How did you managed it Drew?

What did you think of Sonic 3? I only ever played that one briefly on someone else's machine, never had a copy myself.

Pawzy got me Splinter Cell: Chaos Theory for the X-Box a few nights ago, and I've been hooked ever since. That thing is as near-perfect as a gaming experience gets... Although it DOES give me wierd urges to go out and creep through the shadows at night. :bat:

My other X-Box favorites are Morrowind, Halo, and the Street Fighter Anniversary Collection. Morrowind especially... 😀

You want a really creepy game, play Silent Hill 4: The Room. Especially watch the intro. :scared: There's a Silent Hill movie coming out sometime next year, but I've seen the previews and it looks pretty low budget, surprisingly.

Lesbian kiss in Enter the Matrix

Ok, I know probably everyone already knows about this, as the game has been out for a good couple years now. But I had always played it as Ghost, the Asian dude and had never played it as Niobe (Jada Pinkett Smith) until now. For those who haven't played the game, there's a part where you're in the Merovingian's mansion trying to retrive the Keymaker's key. You come across the Merovingian's wife Persephone (Monica Bellucci), and just like she did with Neo in Matrix Reloaded, she says she'll help you if you kiss her the way you would kiss the one you're in love with. In Ghost's case, he's in love with Trinity. As I was playing as Niobe, I started wondering as I got closer to that part, "I wonder if they.....nah." But they DID! To get Persephone to help her, Niobe has to kiss her the way she would kiss the one she is in love with, which is Morpheus. Again for those who haven't played the game, there are scenes that were filmed specifically for the video game, with the original actors, including this scene. After I got done going "DAAAMMMNNN!!!", I continued on with the game. :woot:

I know I know, it would have been much better if Monica Belluci and Jada Pinkett Smith had tickled each other, but hey this is a nice second choice. 😀
