But I read up on your update and wanted to day that I love the fact that you went against the grain and made the npcs the strongest. I hope it'll be like playing mega man and watching zero come in for the first time and rip it up. Thank you kindly. At times, I want to do things differently that'll at least help give my games their own identity. I don't have anything to stand on right now, so I've got to try and make the first game a wee bit interesting. It'll be exactly like Mega Man X, except rather than grabbing the abilities Zero had, you're actually grabbing Zero and having him fight alongside you...WHILE also having the abilities Zero had 😛

Just to clear up any confusion - the girls are stronger than you. It's true. But that's not to say you're not strong in your own ways. Again, you have no weaknesses to attacks, so you don't have to worry about that. You can choose your class at the start, will have your own special abilities, and build your party with whichever girls you want. You wanna run an all DPS party? Go ahead, burn down the enemies before they obliterate you guys. The sick damage you put out will only be matched by how many healing pots you chug - and it'll be siiiiiick! Want the typical holy trinity (healer, DPS, tank), bada-bing bada-boom you got it. Also, the girls are a mix of classes so you don't feel like "Oh, I want a tank, and I'm not one... but I don't like Tula. I don't want to be forced to take her, but I guess I have to". Nope, I'm giving you another girl too that can tank too. So BOOYAH! She'll be revealed later.

And just letting you know - your post wasn't annoying. Now my response on the other hand will annoy the crap out of you. Sorry! I chit-chat alot, even if the reader is on a 2-sentence tops device!

After using your other thread Anime, and playing all these Japanese games with decent, albeit limited, translation; I think I'm now going to love your game 983750983709563865x more, just because it's in English. X_X

The mother babboons are strong with Japanese culture. I warned you how bad translations could be 😛 Thankfully, I speak ok-good-yesplz-English, so you won't get any animals randomly thrown in to your dialogue unless they're actually there lol.

And don't worry shadow. I've heard your plee, and it's true. After playing all the Jap games, and even a few of our own on TT, there is a SERIOUS lack of foot tickling! You normally get a random scene thrown in and it's just a generic foot tickle. Mostly "Sole gets stroked. Insert laughter". Lame. Thankfully I'm not alone and other foot lovers are making tickle games too. YAYZ!

I'll give a number. 80%. That sounds about right. Might actually be 85%. And that number is only increasing now that I'm done going "OH! Yknow what, THAT'd be a good thing to add".

Are you talking about the 30 min song you gave me? I already chopped that up and took a part. It fits wonderfully in the Cackle Crystal Cave 🙂

- Every class SHOULD be viable, since I'm balancing around bosses. However, some classes will definitely start to feel the pain as they progress through the game.

Hm, think I'll go for warrior or ranger. Don't know what my group will be at this point, so should probably aim for balance in case I fancy hiring the glass cannon teammate at some point.

The girls that can join you on your quest are going to be leaps and bounds stronger than you.

So, they'll just start out stronger and build from there? Interesting choice.

Meanwhile, Muca will make your Mage look like a kindergartner. She will look at an enemy and they'll drop over dead after a few seconds of shrieking in ticklish torment. Seriously, she almost has 50% more magic power than your Mage. But holy CRAP she has pathetic defenses and health.

I'm contemplating choosing a team based on first impressions rather than initial stats. This will probably come back to bite me. 😀

It is indeed! Gonna try some multiplayer, so if you're gonna get it, we might be able to go shoot things together lol. Still deciding what I'm gonna play as, but I've got it pre-ordered for PS3.

Let me also say that what you see in the Demo is not what you'll get in the final product. There are things I'm going to change, for example the intro, with better quality once I work out a few things. Based on feedback, other things might be changed too.

Guild Wars 2 is worth the $60 buy. It's like playing Vanilla WoW again for the first time. Just...so much to do, and I haven't even scratched the surface. Right now, I'm just trying to find all the female outfits that show off feet/are barefoot right now 😉

Like I said above - if you're gonna play online, maybe we can hookup some time and go runnin' and gunnin'. Aside from that, I don't think I'm going very fast right now. But o' wellz - we'll see if my Demo is what people are looking for.

Lemme tell ya right now - that's probably the smartest thing to do. Even then, remember that you won't be able to experience everything in one playthrough (like, y'know, THE GIRLS). So I'm expecting people to make a few runs through like we did with ToG and its classes.

Go with whatever you like 🙂 The Demo will at least let you test out your classes and see how you like the early levels. Then again, these levels won't have as much to do with team comp since...yknow...there isn't any lol. Once you get passed the Demo is when classes like Mages will NOT be able to go adventuring alone without suffering considerable injuries.

But like I said, it'll be fun and challenging, as well as different, depending on your team comp. I could so a bunch of squishy glass cannons running around and blowing things up instantly, but they'd also have to have a lot of healing items on themselves (and probably designate a member as the "Health Pot Chucker" during battles).

So it'll be like:

Warrior: Tank/DPS
Paladin: Primary Tank/Minor Party Support/Minor Healer
Cleric: Primary Party Support/Primary Healer
Mage: Major Single-Target Magic DPS/Minor Status Changer/Minor Party Support
Rogue: Major Single-Target Physical DPS/Major Status Changer
Rogue: AoE Physical DPS/Magical DPS Average Single-Target Physical/Magical DPS

In terms of survivability, it'll probably be: Paladin, Warrior, Cleric(thanks to heals only), Ranger, Rogue, Mage

Pretty much. They are Monster Girls after all 😉 Just think of how the game would be if you got Alraune from ToG on your team. She is definitely stronger than you, going by her boss fight.

Go for it. While I'm talking about classes, I do hope inevitably everyone chooses their first run based on girl's they like. Before the game is released, I'll probably give a rundown of their personalities or something. It's the one thing about Star Ocean that is kindof iffy: you don't know what everyone is like beyond this character. Since you've only got limited invite slots, and you have to decide "do I want this person?" you either take them and lose a girl you might've liked, or you leave them and take a gamble with the others.

Maybe I'll add one more chance for you to invite them. I dunno. I'll see how it is when I get that far.

How would that work? lol I can't really see most of the girls being fighters. Maybe Nozomu would cast a Doom ability that after a few turns kills the characters (suicide lol). Chiri would be her psychotic self, so she'd be one of the few. Meru...I take her phone away and let her loose? Kaere I guess could sue the party with attacks that make you lose craploads of money... `,`

Dude, i'm sorry I got it for the 360, but I prefer to increase my gamer score and I can't do that on the PS3. With Borderlands 2 i'll be passing the 40k mark.

If you have a 360, I say you should take your PS3 version back and trade it in for a 360 version, but that's up to you man.

XD Sorry Xbox 360 fans were uniting 😛 I had a PS3 for a while but all I really did was play Rock Band and Dark Souls for it, and the online connection bugs me. I know its free, but it just seems.....slow.....well slower then Xbox's already semi-slow connection :stickout I would totally co-op with you if I still had my PS3 though :lol <3 Siren

I'm gonna keep the PS3 version; PS3 does indeed have better hardware (seen in 360 vs PS3 Portal 2 comparison I believe), and I also have my old Bordlands save on it...ssooooo I get to customize my characters if BL2 finds original BL content on your console. Which is...yknow...a plus...because I'm a collector...and I GOTTA HAVE IT ALLLLLL~

But my PS3 has waaaay too many absolutely wonderful JRPG's and Jap/Korean/Chinese/WhatevaAsian games that I can't give it up. From strategy games like Disgaea 4 (and "tying people up and tickling their armpits") to Ar Tonelico Qoga (and its end-game tickle scene depending on your choices). Sooooo yea. YES!! So close! :lol And the Siren is awesome. I think each of her trees are great so far. One you're a cleric, one you're an aoe mage, and the last you're a CC/mind control machine XD She's been keeping me so entertained I really haven't wanted to play the other classes yet! And for an alt-o'haulick that's pretty huge :stickout

Oh ya never know, sometimes the recurring merchant's a fan favorite. You have to admire the guy profiting from everyone else's apocalypse.

Tip on threashers, use shotguns. I found them to be the most effective.

Ok, i'm seriously worried now. I know it's not uncommon for people to go quite a while without posting, but Anime has posted on the forum pretty regularly. He's approaching 2 months being silent now.

If someone has a way of physically contacting Anime (in-person/phone), please check on him. I'd really hate it if something catastrophic has happened to this budding game maker.
