I never got up the stairs. I figured maybe his wife and kids' bodies were up there or something. Sorry, I'm rather morbid first thing in the morning.

Ohhhh THANK YOU! Good catch. The special battle should only be able to be fought once, but I forgot to put a limiter on it! Hooo boy, that would've been painful if it happened on Live. And I've fixed the Skip Scene issue. It should work correctly now. :blush Lisdexia can happen sometimes.
As for the Tula music...
![]()
WHYYYY did no one tell me about this? And if so, why didn't they put it in all caps? Goodness, people have been playing the whole game with that screw up! No no no no. Big Red Boss is Tula's own music. It's too boss-like to be used on simple minions and common mobs!
And thanks for mentioning the torture room. Fixed that up for the next release I did. Yup yup.
Went upstair.. Yaaay. Also. When you defeat her and spare her.. She runs into a wall and freezes the game xD
Also. When you have defeated the her and completed the quest, you can't enter the room again. It goes back to the thumping pattern it had before you entered. And if you lose to her.. It doesn't give you a game over! 😵
And finally! You can't complete the quest in sandy smiles. Went back to the gardener after I defeated the harpy.. But she just keeps repeating the "save my babies" part. ^^
You're very welcome. I'm glad I could help with the development of this awesome game while enjoying it at the same time.
Wait, what? No no, Tula's music isn't what's playing after her fight, it's the cave music. You know, just the regular BGM when you first enter the cave and while you're sloving the puzzles on your way to fight Tula, not the music during Tula's fight. Sorry, I guess I wasn't specific enough.
Torture room? What torture room? I said pris......ohhh.....hehehe :shifty:
BTW, good idea deciding to release the rest of your game in "chapters". It just seems to be more appropriate since you've already released a fair chunk of the game. Plus, cause you've already got pretty much everyone intoxicated with these scenes, I don't think we could stand to last until you've bashed out the rest of the game in one shot. I know it'll bring back some bad memories of ToG for some people, but I feel more certian that you'll follow through and finish the game.
Also, to be honest, no, I haven't been upstairs in the 'Lil cabin on the Prairie. Since the man said he lives there with only his children, I figured only his kids would be up there. I wasn't thinking about finding another event or couple more scenes.
lol vi is the end of it or am i just stupid? blue screen of death
Lil' Cabin Upper Floor:
done. The monster was cute, her "capitalist spirit" was hilarious and the scene overall really nice 🙂
The only thing I would recommend for that quest is to polish the layout of the text, which often goes outside the window.
PS I want to know the rules of "cowgirls and feathers"!
Harpy kidnapping "babies":
another nice monster and an excellent torture scene. I can clearly see which monster AW was paying homage to... 😉
By the way, am I supposed to do something after having defeated the harpy? The gardener keeps screaming in desperation...
Ahhhh, it's so refreshing to come home from a long day of work and find there is an update waiting with quests I had not done yet previously.
Soooooo, next chapter to be released when? Two days? Three? :stickout
Huh....I still can't go upstairs in the cabin. I spared the flower girl after I beat her. Should I have finished her?
EDIT: The cave music is still playing for random encounters instead of the chocobo music. Did the patch fail or something?
EDIT 2: WTF?! I know I already talked with Worynn, I have the Pheromone Phial equipped. Unless you're able to do the frog girl event without talking to Worynn first. But still, i'm certian I talked to her before I went back to the pond in the beginning area.
EDIT 3: Ok, nevermind about not being able to go upstairs in the cabin. After talking with Worynn (again), I was able to go up. But the random encounter music is still wrong.
Things are progressing...Well not ENTIRELY smooth due to the bugs (thankfully you guys are thorough, so I'm super happy and love fixing all these), but we're moving along quite well. Player response looks to be quite good too, so I'm really thankful on that one. It puts a smile on my face when I hear some loving a scene or a character or just the game in general. Once everything is done with the Demo, I'll release the Live version, which will be partially what everyone is seeing here (and then some).
I have to tell you Dae, it will not be the whole game on first release. I've decided to go the "Chapters" way and release a little bit each time until the game is completed. I won't be USING Chapters, but still will be putting up roadblocks for players.
I just defeated Vi a few hours ago, and since all I said here was about bugs, might as well say what is missing.
AW, your game so far is awesome. My body tingles in anticipation for the next part.
Nadya and the other relevant characters are all likeable in their own way and I do want to see and interact with them all again, hope we can give the general an opportunity for revenge in the future. I mean, for justice! Yes, justice, that's right, that's what I meant.
Now I will go and try to find the zombie girl for the second time. I wonder where she is...
DAaaaaaaaaamn!! A few days with no internet, and when I come back I find out this thread has grown insanely big!
I finished playing the latest version (8B at the time of this post), and so far I haven't found any glitches or bugs previously unreported.
Before that, I wanted to say something about the whole Centaur Raid quest and the final Demo Boss.
OH MY FREAKING LORD
I just wanted to say... (spoilers!)
Dear Bezzy... are you the spawn of Satan?!!!
It's a great scene, specially from the moment that you defeat the last centaur up to the point where Nadya runs into the hidden passage. To see the general tickled like that! 😀
And the final boss once one heck of a fight. I could be hours writing on how awesome it was, but, without spoiling it, let me say that the tone of it is just perfect. The efects, the dialogs, the colours, and specially the music, it all fits the fight like a glove. Being a comic book geek my whole life, I couldn't help but to see it feels quite... "Joker-esque" (size-changing fonts included), since Vi is out just to make mischief and break things, only for the sake of it.
The victory scene is tremendously ingenious too, I'll just leave it at that 😉
Oh, and the face change thingy before the fight, when the music starts to get louder... that really freaked me out, dude :lol
So far, I'd say that my favorite scenes are both the victory scene against the zombie and losing against Vi, with the one with the octopus girl being in a close spot.
Anyway, I rambled on for quite a bit. I guess I'll give a few review of the game after replaying it once we get a "finished" demo version. But seriously, top notch stuff, man 😀
There are 3 things that still baffle me even after completed the game, and I seriously can't figure out even to save my own life:
1- How do I get into the prison? Can I get there at this point on the game? I've tried getting in every different moment (before talking to Worryn, after that, during the raid, etc), but I just keep getting the same message from the guard at the door and no other thing seems to trigger some event to enter there.
2- What's up with the dog? I also tried every alternative (I think), but the only difference that I found is that if I give him the ball, he'll appear next to the north entrance of Lockstock and that's it. I can't interact with him whatsoever.
3- The goddamn deer. Where is it? How do I find it? What does it do? I swear I scouted that map from one end to the other and I couldn't find one deer.
Also there are another things, like some secret enemy encounter, a pheromone phial, and a frog girl (this one I remember encountering it on the first version of the demo, but now I wonder if she's not supposed to pop out someplace else) that I also think I'm missing, but I'll keep those for later.
If anyone has some idea of the heck to do with those things, your advice will be much appreciated 😀
Of course, for "justice".

Ahhhh I love hearing praise from my hard work! It makes me so happy! Some you will see again, others you won't. Especially depending on what you did to them. I hear a dissolved slime can't come back from that, but who do I know 😛 She does make for a great ticklee though. Hmhmhmhmhmhmhmhmhmmm...You think it's just gonna be the general getting revenge? Hmhmhmhmhm... Oh the stuff I have planned for all of you.
As for the zombie girl, I heard they're attracted to places that have men with large mustachios. Might help. :lol
Hello, I wish to register a complaint.....
I'm all about fair play and balancing in a game, so I was happy when you were getting a chance to work on balancing. But now, there seems to be a snag. I'm going thru the demo with a rogue this time. She's level 6 and I'm trying to take down the octopus girl on the beach. I noticed now that my thief can only equip one weapon, even with two weapon slots, which seems to lower my attack significantly. Not sure if it's meant to be that way or not. The other thing (and this is with Percilla) her paralyze attack is pretty much fight ending. I could have full HP, she lands that attack, fight over. I've counted it lasting 5 rounds to wipe me out.
I'm not really complaining, but it seems a bit odd and unfair, especially considering that I had no trouble with the slime girl, catgirl or the Alarune at level 5-6 (post-nerf). Is it the game or did I just get spoiled by being overpowered in the beginning?
So how do I get upstairs in the cabin? I have done everything up to the going to sleep in the barracks part and I still cannot get up there =/
I finished the flower girl instead of sparing her. Will this have a negative outcome for me?
Also, IS there a way to visit the Harpy post-battle in the demo or that's just a tease?
PS: Bug Report, I got the "secret scene" with the zombie.
However that scene bugged my walking. If I hold shift, I "run" in normal walking speed. If I DON'T hold it, I might as well be a turtle.
Ok then, I finally got thru everything, did all quests that I could find and beat Vi. So now, I can truly say this was a fantastic demo.
Best scene: Win/release, win/tickle or lose was the zombie thief
Favorite class: Rogue (I like dual wield classes)
Most anticipated part for next chapter: The prison. I have a feeling you're going to outdo yourself on it.
Minor bugs:
1) When using the Tickripple: Feet effect, it says it lasts for 2 rounds, but only does higher damage for the 1st round.
2) When using Tickripple: Belly effect, it says feet when it's executed.
3) None of the store bought weapons are equippable by the rogue. The only ones she could equip was the Captain's feather and the Fuzzy feather found in a chest.
All in all, you have truly created a masterpiece here, AW. I enjoyed running thru it a few times and can't wait to continue pla- er...beta-testing the next installment.
I've seen stuff about this "Zombie" Scene and i can't seem to find it. I've been running about for an hour trying to find the git.... Anyone mind sharing? I also found a scene with a group of wolf chicks and another with a frog... they were pretty fun (couldn't see the lose scene for either though, when you get to lvl6 with a warrior nothing ever seems to be able to damage you)
Finishing monsters can have negative outcomes in a variety of ways. Some will end quest chains, some will start quest chains. For her, this will end her quest chain. However, in the Live version, you're going to have to also determine what you want to do. Why? Because if you want to go the Dark path, you're going to have to drive some quest mobs into their ticklish demise.
Many events are timed. If you don't visit the Harpy in this part of the game, she might just end up lost forever. Many areas are not going to be static as you progress through the story; things will change, things will happen. Often these are quest chains that are lost, but some might just be one time quests. Not all quests are like this, and some will always be there until you do them.
And CONGRATULATIONS on getting the secret scene! You're the first person to do so ( I'm assuming, since no one else brought it up 😛). Good detective work on your part! And I know you're telling the truth because you're absolutely correct. At the end of the scene, I forgot to alter the speed. Soooo if you wanna replay the scene, it should be all fixed in the latest version. No more turtle for you.
