ok, so as most of you know (and just in case for those who do not) my mom passed away this past december. i am currently in dallas visiting my step-dad and visiting the memorial that he built for her, as well. when i landed in dallas today i had a voicemail on my phone. it was my best friend's husband and he said that he needed me to call him back because he had a "message for me". well now i'm starting to panic because i'm thinking something else is wrong. i sent him a text and asked if i could call him in a few, that i was in dallas and had just landed. he said sure.

so i call him back and he tells me about this dream that he had this morning. it was him, myself, my best friend and their boys, walking around somewhere. my friend and the boys went into this shop and he and i stayed outside. in the dream he told me that my mom had come to visit him and to give me a message that she's ok, not to worry and that she loves me. but here's the kicker: then he asked me "so what are you doing in dallas, man? something for work?" he didn't know what i was here for or that my mom lived here. so on today of all days for him to have that particular dream and for it to be so detailed, i think, is way more than coincidence.

in my belief system, we're taught that very little, if anything, is actual coincidence. everything happens for a reason. we should pay attention to things like our intuition, dreams, messages, etc. because they all mean something. in this case, i think my mom went through both of them because they're both much more in tune than i am and my mom always knew how close my best friend and i have been since high school (9th grade to be exact). i just thought that was the most incrdible thing. have you guys ever had any experiences like that? i'll be posting the photo of mom's memorial site that was built for her, if that won't freak anyone out or possibly look really morbid lol. it was very well designed by my step-dad and i'd like to share it with you guys.

thanks so much, again, for all the love and support that i've received over the past few months. we actually just got a call on monday of this week that a very close friend of the family passed, as well. so this week hasn't been fun. anyway, thank you again all. keep safe!!!

some things like that make me wonder about the mysteries of the world and ourselves. dreams like that i never take for granted or ignore. i give 'em my attention, because sometimes there's something to them. wish you the best, man, and i hope the fam is ok.

on a semi-related note: too bad i'm not back in Dallas already. wouldn't mind buying you a round or two.

That's very cool, man. I'm sorry to hear about your mother (I've been out of the loop for a while), but I think you can rest easy that she's doing okay, wherever she is 🙂

Auww that's awesome babe 🙂 Totally not a coincidence - and I'm really happy for you 🙂 I bet that made you feel awesome 🙂

And totally post that picture!! It's gorgeous!! Not morbid at all.

There is a word for it...Synchronicity.

My mom passed a couple of years ago. I greatly enjoy my dreams of her...every time she "visits", I have this huge insight/epiphany the next day.

My mom went Home a little over a year ago. From that night on, she has never ceased communicating with us in various ways. I'm sure your mom knew that you could use a bit of support for your visit. Physical death doesn't mean losing people. They just have different ways of communicating with us now. Be thankful for it and for her and take it as the gift it is. 🙂

thanks for all the kind words, again, everyone. i definitely see it as something more than a dream. i was trying to leave myself open mentally when i was there and going to sleep that night, because she's still "physically" in the house (just meaning she has not been inturned yet) so the connection would be stronger, or so my thought process goes anyway. but, nothing happened, that i can remember. some day soon though, i'm sure. anyway, here's a photo of the memorial and site that my step-dad designed for her. its not completely finished yet, which is why i think he has not put mom out at this time. the white buckets that you see in the ground are for rose bushes that my mom liked.

Very nice! I'm sure it will be beautiful sitting out there with her when her roses are in full bloom.

i'm sure it will be. not sure when i'll make it out again but when i do, it'll be neat.

All things do indeed happen for a reason....Mom ia watching out for ya....

Wow!! That is so awesome that your friend had that dream!! So many people dismiss things like that when they can get joy and peace from it.

I am sorry to hear about your other loss though. Hang in there bud!

The dream and the memorial are both awesome!

We truly only brush the surface of the link between those who have passed into the life beyond and those still remaining in what we call life. I've had situations throughout my life that proved to me how our loved ones stay in contact with us well after they leave this life. It's never been frightening at all. It's always been a joyful experience to know they are still around.

My mom loved roses as well and I planted a rose tree in my backyard in her honor. Her favor roses were yellow and peach. I bought a yellow rose tree and guess what??? It bloomed with both yellow and peach colored roses! No coincidence there.

Glad you're doing well Falcon!

My friend's mother passed quickly from stomach cancer. In her grief, my friend became frustrated because she hadn't seen any sign of her mother who promised she would let her know she was alright. One night when the family was playing cards, an indian penny, something her mother collected, appeared in their betting dish when nobody had noticed it earlier.
I totally believe in this and find it fascinating.
