We Need a NATIONAL TICKLE DAY!

OK..maybe this has been done before.....but I haven't seen it...so excuse the late-night ramble.....

Has it ever been done? Has anyone ever tried to establish a National Tickle Awareness Day? A day where people can silently show their support, interest, commitment to our favorite past time.

I realize it would be difficult....but imagine....we collectively join forces with all other tickling web sites, discussion groups and the like....to establish ONE DAY where people would wear something symbolic to recognize each other.

It doesn't have to be anything unusual, or expensive...it could be as simple as a specific color.....say Orange.....(why Orange..I have no idea!).

What do you think?? Can we as a community come together for ONE DAY and pull it off? I honestly think so. It is simple, easy to participate and can be done without really "outting" oneself.

As a marketing professional, i would be willing to support a cause like this and help pull it off....but I would need help.

Is anyone interested???

I personally think this would be a great idea. I guess orange could be the universal color. I initially thought pink would be good, but the guys may not want to wear pink clothing 😀 !

I'd definitely participate 🙂 I think it should be something a little more distinctive than wearing orange though, cause I mean, how many people wear orange on any given day for no reason? we could figure something out though. good idea!

I think it's a fabulous idea!!! I'm not sure how I could help with the marketing, but if there was something easy I could do, I will. I would also fully support whatever color or fashion is chosen and wear it proudly! 🙂

Actually there are those "Lance Armstrong" Yellow bands and other colors for pretty much everything under the sun.......why not one of those things of a specific color for that?

I will ask around where they can be made.

I will need to know a color and I will check into it and their mass production.
If it can be done cheaply enough........I will look further into it and try and get things rolling.

Dosen't have to be specifically a National Tickle Day thing either....it can be something worn all the time so we can spot each other any/everywhere.

It would have to be a color not sued by others, eg Lance Armstrong yellow.....MS red........Breast Cancer pink etc.

It actually just hit me. This little question has been going around for some time about what can we ticklers and lees wear to show and hint to others who share our passion so we know each other and have it be discrete?

the idea would be that "i love tickling".

People who dont know what it represents would just see a red feather, nothing more. People who DO know what it means, will instantly identify with all who wear it. And our code would be refering to the letters TMF, if the other person gets confused by those letters then we know they are just wearing a feather for some odd reason (but how many people wear a feather on their shirt?)

Decent idea but I think the Lance Armstrong type wristband would stand out and make its statement and can be worn 24/7/365 rain or shine and regardless of clothing worn.
