Okay everyone, here we go.... Let it be known that you must pick at least five games to qualify in the standings. I will give you the whole schedule and the point spreads which come out of USA Today's newspaper. It is actually today's newspaper, Thursday September 14th,2006. Keep in mind if you pick team A to beat team B and team A is favored by 8 points and team A wins by 7 points you lose. That being said here is the schedule for the NFL in week #2.

Just a quick question. can you change your picks if you want?
Yes you can I will watch for when the editing actually takes place. If someone edit at 1:00pm eastern time it their changes will not count. I have evrything that everyone picks logged in. If you need to change anything, change it by 12:59pm Sunday afternoon. 🙂

Great! i made my change.

Oakland +12 at Baltimore ---- I am going with the Raiders here. I absolutely hate the Raiders but I just think after being embarrassed last week at home that they are going to give a better effort this week. Will they win??? Probably not. But 12 points is to much to lay, so I will take the points and take my chances.

Houston+13 1/2 at Indianapolis---- Again, this is too many points to give up. Houston is a better team defensively. I will again take Houston and the points.

Cleveland + 10 at Cincinnati---- One more time, this is too many points to give up. So once again, I will take the underdog and the points.

Buffalo + 6 1/2 at Miami---- I hate the Dolphins. I really do. They are home against a Bills team that will probably compete with them well because it is a division team. I will again, go underdog and take the Bills and the points.

Detroit + 9 at Chicago---- I notice everyone took the Bears that wanted this game except for the Lions fan himself, Pokey From Michigan. I think that if you hold Seattle to 9 points you are doing something right defensively. Plus everyone is also looking at how convincing the Bears crush the Packers. This Lions team is not the Packers. Plus the last time these two teams met, it went to overtime before the Bears won it. I am once again taking the points and going with the Lions.

Carolina - 1 1/2 at Minnesota---- I am not a big believer in Minnesota. I also said last week that Carolina is the best team and Carolina got beat. But not this time. Give that 1 1/2 points and I take Carolina.

New York Giants +3 at Philadelphia---- Lets see here. The Eagles were swept by the Giants last season. But McNabb did not play in either game. But the Giants have not beaten McNabb in 7 straight games. Philadelphia has proven that they are going to compete this season. This is a must win for the Giants as their schedule doesn't get easier. I think Philadelphia will ride the wave a little longer and beat the Giants. I am taking the Eagles and giving up the points.

Tampa Bay + 5 1/2 atAtlanta---- Gruden was throughly disgusted after last week's game. Atlanta is not that good a team as a home favorite. I believe in the Buccaneers this week to outright beat the Falcons. But I will take the points.

New Orleans - 2 at Green Bay---- Green Bay played with no pride last week. I even took them to win. I will not make that mistake this time. I am going with the Saints on the road.

St. Louis - 3 at San Francisco---- San Francisco played well last week. So did St.Louis. I think the Rams will play even better this week. Giving the points and taking the Rams.

Arizona + 7 at Seattle---- I am not sure about this game. Arizona has not been 2-0 since 1991. But Seattle is not yet hitting on all cylinders yet. This is an interesting game that will capture alot of my attention on Sunday. Give me Seattle and I will give up the points.

New England - 5 1/2 at New York Jets---- This is an interesting game as well. Look for the Jets to compete well in their home opener. I think the Patriots will win the game, but a close one. Give me the points and the Jets. Final here will be like 17-13 with the Pats coming out on top.

Tennessee +11 at San Diego---- I think Chargers will be impressive in this game. If the Jets could look impressive against the Titans then there isn't much hope for this team. I will take the Chargers this week.

Kansas City + 10 1/2 at Denver---- The Chiefs never win in Denver. The Chiefs starting quarterback is Huard because of the injury Green sustained last week. I have no reason to believe that the Chiefs can win this game. taking Denver and giving the points.

Washington + 6 at Dallas---- Dallas fans seem to think because they got " The Jerk " that he and the Cowgirls can do no wrong. Well I think Washington will make Dallas work for this game. People seem to feel that Dallas is to be feared because they are Dallas. Well then you better inform the Washington Redskins to be scared. I don't think they are. I take the points and Washington.

Monday Night Football

Pittsburgh - 1 1/2 at Jacksonville---- I think that Pittsburgh is in for a VERY TOUGH GAME!!! I still like Pittsburgh in this game though. I take Pittsburgh and give up the points.

I think the Jags are for real this season...

Yep for sure, I saw the game from half way through the second quarter on and it was all the Jags, their offense did enough and well what can you say about that D.

Thankfully, I was at work and was spared the agony of watching what I heard was their most dismal performance since they were 1-11 back in the 60's. :disgust:
