We're getting crushed right now as well, and with basically no real equipment to handle this volume of snow. It's humorous watching these pick up trucks with plows trying to move a foot plus snowfall that drifts in behind them nearly as fast as they plow....

Well, I for one happen to LIKE snow! Actually, with the wind creating blizzard conditions, I don't care to be out in it. But, otherwise, I love it. We've shoveled twice already and Drew has declared that he misses our condo where it was all plowed for us. (He forgets that I'd still be out there unburying my car and clearing things away from the entire building enough for the plow guy to get when he back-bladed...without hitting the building.) We have 8" and counting. The main storm has yet to really reach us. So, we're ready for round two any time.

I personally like the snow, but it seems I am in the minority. All I can say is, it's way better than the Hurricanes I used to go through in NC.

I'm actually planning a vacation in hopes of FINDING some! I've turned my heat on tonight for the first time all season! It finally got to the low 30's! WOOHOOOO!!!! Tomorrow it will probably be back in the 80's though. Blech!

I hate this shit. I really really hate this shit.

However, I'd rather have the snow and some ground insulation than the 30-below crap we had up here last year for TWO SOLID MONTHS!!! One hour nrth and two hours south, they get seven feet of snow, right here in the Champlain Valley, we get 47 days of Arctic Blasts. The ground was frozen six feet down, ferchrissakes.

Those of us in this area are a bit more toughened to the stuff, though...as nothing can compare to the Ice Storm of 98. Remember that one, fellow Northern New Yorkers?
