I think I'm only a year older and according to your profile on that dating site I'm within your age range. No offense though, I can SO tell I'm not your thing. And like guys with some more confidence, personality is number one to me.
 
thats cool your personality is like a type A and I have the presonality of an Alligator with a 2 x 4 up its butt 😀 also because of women and being picked on in school I have low confidence though that is changing

Don't let girls define who you are. We aren't worth it. If I had let some of the guys I've had in my life determine my confidence level it would be rock bottom. I'm type A because I CHOOSE to be.
 
I was placed where I was. I'm still clawing my way up but you know what I'm highly respected in my field and in acting (im not a sell out but since I put all that on the back burner for now.)
 
One more thing... you mentioned getting picked on in school. I was a very late bloomer and was a serious geek through all but the very end of my schooling. I KNOW getting picked on. Let it make you a stronger person because things haven't been easy for you unlike some of those who have always had things handed to them on a silver platter.

Let me tell you something: with your less-than-positive view of yourself, and your outlook on things, you have two chances to succeed- slim, and none. Unless you're looking for someone who's going to have pity on you (and there's a better chance of me becoming a point guard for the Lakers), I would suggest you scrap this ad altogether, and undergo a complete attitude change. Learn to love yourself. If you do that, others will see that and become attracted to that.

I gotta go with the ever-sexy, consummate voice of reason Knox here. Don't change who you are in general, just don't reveal the painful/wounded stuff in a personal ad, it's not attractive and everyone's been there. Girls are naturally drawn to confident guys (if you don't feel it, fake it) I know it sounds twisted but ya gotta pretend you're a salesman~you got a product to sell, so SELL it! But then again, don't come off as a jerk (which is what a lot of guys think a girl wants) they'll feel differently when they grow up...

I agree with a few others here on the points that lack of confidence and negativity will get you absolutely nowhere. im not completely happy with myself, but i accept who i am and thats all you can do. and definately lose the nice guy image. thats the kiss of death with a woman.

It sounds like Hosetickler is on the right track here. He is meeting new women on a relatively frequent basis so he has something to offer for sure. He just needs to keep confidence up. And for the guy above me.... girls only go for jerks when THEY have low self esteem. Nice girls like myself look for the good guys... the NICE guys. Nice guys get me, and I don't think of myself as the "kiss of death" thank you so much.
