I think when people hear "fetish" they assume it's way more sexual than it actually is.

I've brought a couple vanilla girls to gatherings; they told me afterwards, they were expecting us to spend all evening just tickling each other, or talking about tickling. I think people have misconceptions about communities like this; they think our fetish is all we are.

I agree. I've brought my vanilla BFF to a few munches and other stuff with TMFers, and she says that if I hadn't told her how I knew them she never would have thought it was from a fetish community. But since she does know she asks lots of questions and finds the whole thing very interesting. I'm sure it's only a matter of time before she pops up at a gathering to see what we really get up to when we're all together.
